Seriously though, the only plot holes are in your brain. Asking questions that arguably underestimate your understanding of the movie and not the plot holes of the movie, says a lot about you and that is that you have a pea for a brain like a blonde. Maybe you even are one and so is everyone on the first page for answering you and your unintelligent questions. If you have watched the movie with even the slightest bit of attention you...

I got to question 2 and realized that you're a moron. Many poorer countries around the war don't even receive half the movies we see here. This is especially true in the 1960s and 70s. Therefore, they not only receive copies of these films long after they're made, but they often replay them because they become extremely popular. Why? Well its the only external source of entertainment. These arent modern movie theaters that air...

Rape is a crime of power, dominance, humiliation and also a crime of opportunity. It's not a crime that's based on what a woman wears. Perfectly said! I agree completely with everything you've expressed, including the frustration in finding people who still hold such backward beliefs about rape. I can't brain today. I have the dumb.

I just felt like putting this out there into the abyss. But, I know that they are a lot more religious over there, as well as countries like Saudi Arabia. But what I don't understand is how did it get to be that women are so constricted. I know they are not completely without choice, but why does the makeup of their society favor men?, and they let them do so much more, For ...

Seeing as this film is a third world product, I suppose the following plot holes, though somewhat glaring, are more or less forgivable. 1. How could a paper kite cut through a string at an altitude of 500 ft. or more? Duh! 2. If the boys were in Kabul in 1978, how could they be watching a movie made in 1960? Duh! 3. As we all know, alcohol is forbidden in Islamic countries so how did ...

I actually begrudged Amir his atonement at the end. I felt he hadn't earnt the right to run after the kite at the end, yelling Hassan's words. What did others think...had he done enough?

I loved the book but the film just didn't hit the spot for me. At all. It felt mailed in, harried and almost disgruntled (if that is possible for a film). The characters seemed to rush from scene to scene as if ticking them off a list. None of the characters were treated with any real affection and there was a lack of depth. It felt like this thing happened then that thing happened, and ...

I originally started reading the book as a project for school, and it was definately one of those '...well, this is gonna suck' things, but it turns out I absolutely fell in love with the book. I read it twice in the span we were supposed to read it once. I was looking forward to watching the movie, and finally got around to watching it tonight, and I was completely disappointed. Yes...
