This movie shows just how important writing and directing are to a film. I have always said bad writing and bad directing will always make good actors look bad. Good actors never can make bad writing and bad directing work. This movie was the direct result of a writer who has become far to self indulgent for his own good. I mean honestly i think this movie came off like a joke. It was more ...

I considered this film a masterpiece of storytelling atmosphere and sheer craft. i saw it for the first time last night and was moved. i awoke this morning still shuddering from the creepiness. what i think some people may be missing is that the M.Night has created his own reality in which to contextualize this story. It is similar to our waking reality but slightly
off kilter. Some things are ...

it was mis-labeled. The same thing would happen if you reached for a coke and popped the top and got
lemonade. You'd think it was the worst tasting coke ever and you wouldn't understand why it wasn't a coke and wonder wtf happened. This movie was billed as a horror/suspense movie and it was actually more like a dark comedy. Which if you look at it that way, then it wasn't so bad, imho.

Compared to all his other movies, this had to be funny intentionally. It had to be. He's such a good writer and director. This had to be a joke.

Not to bore you with any scientific details, but this movie is not as unrealistic as many people believe it to be. To put it simple: Plants kill competitors all the time - I therefore found the movie quite entertaining - and the twist that you had to separate to reduce the chance of biological detection (chemotaxis) made not only sense, but it added creepiness to it, because this is what would ...

He has really good ideas and stories. The village was good for three fourths of the movie than had a suck balls ending. This movie had no resolution whatsoever. He should stop trying to be like every other hollywood director by having these artistic endings and be original.

This movie sucked on so many levels! When
Markie Mark was freaking out trying to find some scientific solution, I have 2 words DUST MASK! Why in the world didn't anyone think of covering their faces with fabric, or something like that? I suppose that wouldn't play well, since it would inhibit the view of their faces. Why show the 2 little old ladies in their house watching TV and knitting with ...

Alright, I know she has amazing eyes, but at one point near the end were they CGIed so that her
pupils looked like hearts? Or am I crazy?
