it was mis-labeled. The same thing would happen if you reached for a coke and popped the top and got lemonade. You'd think it was the worst tasting coke ever and you wouldn't understand why it wasn't a coke and wonder wtf happened. This movie was billed as a horror/suspense movie and it was actually more like a dark comedy. Which if you look at it that way, then it wasn't so bad, imho.

Compared to all his other movies, this had to be funny intentionally. It had to be. He's such a good writer and director. This had to be a joke.

Not to bore you with any scientific details, but this movie is not as unrealistic as many people believe it to be. He has really good ideas and stories. The village was good for three fourths of the movie than had a suck balls ending. This movie had no resolution whatsoever. He should stop trying to be like every other hollywood director by having these artistic endings and be original.

Ok, does anybody else think that Zooey Deschanel should be banned from acting? Foerever! In the beginning seeing her act I was thinking to myself, o.k something is wrong with her, she is acting strange...she is about to flip out and kill the whole town. but no, this was just her. Even though Comcast has spoilers of the film within their discription of this movie in the on demand service, thus I knew what was causing the events before the film started. I thought the movie was great. I heard it was abysmal, but I completely disagree. Maybe extreme low expectatons is what salvaged the movie.
