Im under the assumption that Kripke isnt an engineer, mainly because he seems to focus on leonard and sheldon, (just seems like he would be in the same field as them) also i dont think an engineer would show the head of faculty around a lab that looked very similar to leonards. The only character on this show with a truley garish fashion sense is Howard but that it clearly intentional. If I were going to change anything about Leonard it would be the glasses. He would look so much better with thin framed lens then thick ones he wears.
