in the train robbing that occurs early in the film, jesse emerges out of this huge cloud of smoke, and that scene was very impressive to me. the direction of the movie... all of the shots of the sky, etc., was very good. overall, the movie was ok, dragging quite a bit, but between the look of the movie and casey affleck's intense creepiness, i enjoyed it.

this movie got so screwed at the Oscar's. This was easily better than every movie that was nominated. And Pitt definitely should've been nominated for an Oscar, even though I don't think his performance was better than Daniel Day Lewis. This film was a true masterpiece and is one of my favorite films.

Can someone explain to me what was going on with Dick, Ed, Wood, and Jim and how they effected Jesse. I got lost with those characters' stories. I know that Dick slept with Wood's dad's wife, and that's why they wanted to kill each other, but I didn't get anything else.

Just watched the movie for the first time, and although I enjoyed it I felt there was a big hole at the film's heart the acting of Brad Pitt. As a result I felt no fascination with Jesse James, unlike the character of Robert Ford, acted with such subtlety and astuteness by Casey Affleck. All I can say is, what a shame.

What can I say about this movie? Hmm... Well for starters it was nominated for 2 Oscars this past year for Best Achievement in Cinematography and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role and many other nominations by others. The cinematography was good. Casey Affleck was great as Robert Ford, pretty creepy guy. First and most importantly I am from Missouri, born and raised! ...

It seemed that way to me. It was strange how he just decided to take off his gun and set it down on the table and then turn his back on them. Did he want to die? Also, who was the guy that ended up shooting Robert? I wasn't too clear on that part.
