I can't read into all that you write. I just don't want to. I saw *what* you wrote. I hope it's not all based in past relationship.. Hm...I noticed new people started coming here when I posted in an old account a topic called "Noobs." I used to reply to everything on here, but I stopped, yea. You didn't see me before if you weren't here. I don't remember you, but you have a familiar-looking sn. I...

Oh. Well, I sorta didn't know what you were saying in terms of everyone else here and me. And I never thought that you couldn't post anywhere else because I've read some of the other threads and some of them, you've replied on them. No big deal. Hope I'm not insulting you, though.

indeed. It was fun... except for the fact that my room became the "playroom" for all the little ones. My nice, orderly room kinda got torn apart. But overall, excellent Thanksgiving. My cousin Amber's new baby daughter is GORGEOUS. Can't wait to see everyone next month for Christmas! And I'm planning on going shopping in the morning (around 8am so not TOO early) so I'm gonna head to bed. Night! Cheese is...

So I know most of you went into this film as a Johnny Depp/Tim Burton fan, but try to put your fandom aside: what did you think of his singing? I've read the posts here about this and they all defend his vocal abilities by bringing up how his acting skills should supersede his singing (which I think is true anyway). I know how easy it is to defend people you admire, I have a fair few obsessions ...

I can't decide what my favorite musical number in this movie is. There are so many. I love the ambience of "Not While I'm Around", but my eyes were dazzled with the "By the Sea" number. I loved f "Johanna" but I think my favorite song is "Pretty Women". I can't get this song out of my head. The tension and dialogue between Turpin and Todd is perfect. Talk about an obsession. "Pretty women ...

She was pretty eager to get away from the judge. Sure, he really didn't treat her like a daughter, but she was actually planning to run away. We know the judge isn't above rape, and he was obviously very sexually attracted to Johanna. I don't think he raped her, but probably did get touchy in ways he shouldn't have. www.youthrights.org If you care to find me, look to the western sky.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed how Burton filmed the final scene. But for me it is more effective in the CD. Like for instance when Sweeney kills Lucy, you don't see what's going on but the music tells you that he killed her. It's kind of listening to a performance of Peter and the Wolf where the duck gets eaten by the wolf. Yes there is narration, but you still don't see it and I was always ...

ok, so i really enjoyed, watching the movie, although i actually don't like musicals. but wasn't anybody a bit confused by the ending? the last few minutes were really intense, and the final shot, with him dying, holding his wife he had just killed, was fantastic. somehow though i was waiting for at least one last shot of his daughter, and/or the young sailor. don't get me wrong, i don't...

1. Both sent to prison for crimes they didn't commit. 2. Both set up by men over jealousy of their wives. 3. Those who set them up raise their children as their own. 4. Both return with different identities. 5. Both have women who they are not actually in love with, help them commit their revenge on those whom are responsible. Any other similarities? "Diane, never drink coffee ...

Johnny Depp, to his credit, is an excellent actor. He has starred in several movies, the most popular being the Pirates of the Carribean series. Regretfully, he has his limitations. There are some things he simply should not do. This movie is a classic example of that theory. What is the problem? He just can't carry a tune! He could sing the Sweeny Todd songs okay, but there was no ...

During the final scene as Sweeney recognizes Lucy's body, she's actually twitching. Did anyone else notice? "HOPSCOTCH!"

Hey everyone, I've been reading this board for awhile. You're all very entertaining! :) I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan, as well as a Sweeney fan. Not too long ago, I saw here a cartoon version of the movie, where the characters (+audience members, Tim Burton etc.) looked like South Park characters. It covered the whole movie, and came in 4 parts. Does someone have a link? Thanks, Dan
