So, you just said you will leave? Please, before you leave, can you tell what is wrong about being only twelve years old? Imagine, we are not better than those who defeat us, so, yes, imagine for a moment that someone sees that you are losing a "match" ... while opposed by a twelve years old. Ouch, can you survive the shame? And, and if you think you are winning that "match", the same someone will probably...

Best song on the film?
Published (2008-11-25 11:05:00)
Yes.. I remember the song being used in Pump Up The Volume, but the context of the song to the film in Southland Tales makes it's use 10 times better than "PUTV".(IMO) "I don't care what you do to me, Mike - just do it fast!"

I have only seen two of his films, and he is easily one of the most artistic, ambitious, and original writers and directors there is. Donnie Darko was so original when it came out, had so many ideas, and memorable and believable characters you can feel for. It remains in my Top 20 of all time. And then he makes Southland Tales , which is even more originally crafted and ambitious than Darko, ...

Okay, I just got done watching the Cannes Cut of Southland Tales. What a difference. Let me start by saying I own the original DVD release and I've watched it several times. I get the movie. It's a little messy with way too much stuff going on on screen half the time. Especially during the "TV Spots" that look like Fox News on Crack. But I get it. The Cannes cut, I think this is ...

I saw it about a year ago, when I learned that Sarah Michelle Gellar was making a new film called Southland Tales, i went to this IMDB page, looked interesting, and I heard tons of things about how it would not be better than Donnie Darko, so I went and rented it. So you guys can all thank Gellar "No, No, I don't wanna kill you, No, You Complete Me!"

That was cool but freaky as hell. What did it actually mean though? "The universe is a big place, perhaps the biggest."

Hey Southland fans, I've downloaded the Cannes Cut and uploaded some clips to YouTube. I'll probably gradually upload more. If they become popular (say 200 views) I'll consider uploading the entire cut. Anyway, for now, I have about 30 minutes of clips. Here's my channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/southlandcannes Enjoy.

I posted this in a bigger thread but it was unanswered... If someone could throw their 2 cents in it would be most appreciated... Am I wrong to assume from this movie that when two versions of the same entity co-exist in the same space, they become divine in their powers? Or was it just that Roland/Ronald was the second coming of Christ by coincidence? Also, I know that LA is going to hell...
