WOW I am surpriesed by the ignorance on this board. I can't make this point ANY CLEARER those movies could have been played by 100 actors off the top of my head and MARTIN MADE HIM, Taxi Driver that role was charcter driven because of Martin and so was GF2 (there was a first one without him remember) I know it's hard to swallow but it's true. Go back an watch them those are great film's largely due to MARTIN PLAIN AND...

Notice anything, that's the keys on my board that actually work No, but I noticed what keys aren't working - the key to understanding film, for one. but I wouldn't expect someone who tell's me "it wasn't his best film" to undestand that you opinion means dik to me. If my opinion meant nothing, then why waste your time responding? Oh, I did notice that your letter C works. Here's a tip - use it...

Yeah, you're right. There is no way De Niro could pull off Indy. The only different film i've seen Harrison in is 'K19 The Widowmaker' (the one about the Russian submarine) also with Liam Neeson. He was remarkably good at the russian accent. But that's no disrespect to Harrison, he's one of my favorite actors.

how was he a tough guy in A Bronx Tale? he was a caring father who was looking out for his son. In Casino he was a business man trying to hold on to his marriage. And while he does play tough guys he doesnt play them the same way, Vito Corleone and Jimmy Conway are completely differnt characters with different minds

The Godfather: Part II Once Upon a Time in America Heat The Deer Hunter The Untouchables Scorcese didnt direct any of these and they were awesome and De Niro was great in them, directors guide the actors they dont give them the talent.

only two actors who you can say rarely give interviews and they are Jack Nicholson & Christopher Lloyd. Jack hasn't been in a talkshow since 1971. I would do the same thing, talkshows are stupid.

Di Caprio Vs De Niro can they be...

I agree that they compare, in terms of the intensity and greatness of their films (i.e. the ones you mentioned), but I'm not sure if Di Caprio will be declared the greatest actor of all time. "We ain't ready to have a Black president" ~Tupac "Changes"

I just came off the Harrison Ford thread and all I see are these bashing threads saying Harrison has no versatility I mean what has Deniro done aside from ALWAYS playing a crazy wanna be badass in 99% of his movies. The reason I come here is because he is a great actor and yet he is sterotyped no differently then Harrison yet their is a different perspective. Talk about a double standard. "...

Bobby seems to now only play the role of an Irishman. Italian-Americans should be ashamed of themselves. They let their once vibrant Little Italy be taken over by the Chinese & Chinatown. I also get the impression that Italian-Americans are ashamed of their background because you never hear any famous actors/singers/politicians/athletes who are of Italian background mention it. They are either...

I can't really choose but in the past i loved him in Dramatic Roles he was just so suburb and intense. but now i love him in comedies he is a genius in any type of movie but he can really make me laugh especially in "Analyse This". Just read that and I'm really confused, is this just a rumor or are there any specific interviews or sources? Would be a big waste.
