Theoden's speech in RotK fits in well with the climate of the film. Elizabeth's really feels like Keira K watched 300 or something, went to Gore Verbinski and said "I know what this movie needs." It is just incongruous with everything we know about her in the movie. Simple way to fix it? Have Elizabeth say the first sentence or two, and then have Barbossa jump in, and have the two of them rally the troops. But just...

The second movie is all about Jack. Will and Elizabeth hardly do anything untill the first hour of the film is over. The entire plot revolves around Jack in Pirates 2, and the end is all about him dying. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I wish that were true. 1. Jack does change quite a bit. He finds that he would rather help a friend than save his own skin. He first returns to the Pearl when the Kraken is attacking it in DMC, and when he is given the opportunity to stab Jones's heart he gives the dagger and heart to Will so that he may live forever instead.

I am basically the biggest fan of the first movie... it was phenomenal. But I agree with you. The sequels are both WAY overrated and quite ridiculous. They started filming with an unfinished script, for one, and they just never really thought through the story line. Disney just used the fact that the first one ...

Although I wont thank you for Blackbeard as I think there were more thought to it than that I will how ever say Ralp Fiennes would be a great choice (seeing they almost only cast british thesps and the best of those (except Bloom and Knightley of course)).
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.
