Well, we know soaps love to re-write history...I guess given that most of them have been on for 40+ years, they have to re-write to fit new storylines in sometimes. I don't mind that the storyline for Jessica and Natalie has changed, because that means Mitch is back. He's the character I love to hate, but still love. (if that makes sense) I love it when Mitch is on! He's the ultimate bad guy.

Erin left playing Jessica after Mitch or Viki told her that her father was Mitch Laurence, then Bree came on to play Jessica. So when Mitch married Natalie, Jess was played by Williamson.

I honestly agree with all this. I guess it's the whole bad-boy-with-a-few-soft-spots-left (namely, his kids, and Viki), but Todd's to me more the dangerous/deadly bad that I'd run screaming from instead of the sexy-bad that I'd be drawn to. I dunno. The way they're writing Blair is no better. She's become disgustingly clingy, and her obsession with all things Todd is really hard to watch at times...

I think calling it "fraud" is more severe than it is. Everyone in Llanview and in Pennsylvania knows it isn't legal. Essentially what they are doing is a demonstration, a protest.
Unless you were talking about Dorian's saying she is gay, which actually is fraud, because she is actively misrepresenting herself to the people who will be voting for her. It's not like the end of "In or Out", ...

the real world view is nothing like OLTL is portraying
The real world view of practically everything, including the laws of physics, do not match up w/ what goes on in OLTL. If you're looking for realism, soaps aren't where to find them.
I applaud OLTL's unrealistic approach w/ this storyline -- not so much Dorian marrying a woman for votes -- but all the main characters in Llanview...
