"Did Chigurh kill the accountant that was in the office of the man who hired Wells? No. When the accountant asks if Chigurh is going to shoot him, Chigurh replies by saying, "That depends. Do you see me?" The implication is that incidental people who agree that he is a ghost and look the other way may be allowed to live. This scene is important because it explains the strange scene where Bell ...

This is not a movie you watch once. If you do that of course you will be confused and declare your hatred for it. Once people view it a second time, they will understand the ending, or at least have a better appreciation for what the Coen brothers tried to do.

In the scene where Moss is putting the satchel in the vent he pushes it to the left. When he goes to the room behind it, he retrieves the satchel from the left.

This is one of my favorite films of all time.. and possibly the best film this decade, but after I finally got my girlfriend to watch it with me she insists that its bad and boring (despite it winning best picture, having almost across the board critical acclaim and widely recognized by viewers objectively as a great film). Is it just a woman thing? The movie is unquestionably slow ...

I gave this film 4/10 and that was being quite generous. What i liked was the excellent cinematography and the highly original casting. However the plot was RISIBLE. Before the usual IMDB rentagobs launch their predictable insult laden defence, the Coen's can't blame the original Author of the story for their failings. They have previous in this area, Raising Arizona being another ...

So, NCFOM premiered on STARZ last night and I watched it a few times and the performance of one small supporting character stood out to me - Garrett Dillahunt. He played the deputy Sheriff. Had some funny lines and delivered them well. "Hells bells, they even shot the dog" A lesson one learns in prison is things are what they are and will be what they will be-Oscar Wilde...

Did anyone else think Anton's conversation with Carson was really intriguing? There were so many statements made that make you wonder what they're referring to, what sort of history the two have, and also what supernatural themes the characters may or may not take on. Anton says something about the money being placed at his feet, he also talks about the rule Carson follows. Any thoughts about ...

This is, so far, the best movie of this decade. I bought it before even seeing it because I knew it would be great. Goonga Galoonga

I saw this movie 2 weeks ago and I thought it was good but NOT an oscar-worthy film, well for Javier Bardem's performance it was but still it definitely didn't deserve Best Picture at all!! It should of went to Ratatouille, the best film of 07, period!! If not, The Assisination of Jesse James should of got it but Ratatouille is Best Picture of 07 in my books.

Sorry, I've always wanted to start something like this. So the rules are simple, take away one point from one movie and give it to another until one movie wins blah blah blah! And since this would take forever if I used EVERY Best Picture winner, I'll just do the start of the 90's and on. (I dunno, just feels right...) I SHALT cast the first stone, let the battle begin! No ...

In the book one Mexican ambushed Moss in the el palso hotel, and he made Moss drop his gun to save the woman, and he shot the womana and shot Moss but Moss managed to shoot the Mexican before he died, so im wondering, why did they change that in the movie, in movie it was like 4 or 5 Mexicans although it shows the Mexican Moss shot. Any thoughts?

Sandifay - I understand why you wouldn't take the money, but do you understand why someone like Moss would? He has no way of knowing that there is an invincable killing machine AND a whole slew of Mexican drug dealers chasing him, or that there is a transponder in the case, or that his mother-in-law will tell some friendly guys what hotel he'll be staying at, or..... Add in the fact that ...
