So far (fingers crossed) the only thing I can't watch with the lights off is the movie Poltergeist - I'm fairly OK until the decayed tree comes in Robbie's bedroom window and grabs him and then not only are the lights on, they're on as high as they can go. Oh, and I can't watch it alone. Scares the bejezus out of me. Gibbs: "Book 'im DannOzzo" - Power Down

I don't do Twitter either, omsoq, really have no idea how it works, but if you click on the first link in the original post, you can read Doug Reilly's tweets, which include links to the pics. I enjoyed reading them, but have NO desire or intention to start tweeting myself! I'll just hope people keep posting the best of Doug's here. This is why we all love your recaps Navy...you have the quote AND the fun commentary. Think McSidekick! Use the leading man...harness those powers.

I picked it up in college. We were required to do our engineering homework on 'engineering' paper, which was nothing more special that green grid paper. I dare you to not to write in all caps when writing in little blocks for every scrap of homework for four years! Even now, I can't write on regular lined paper without it being illegible.

Roddy McDowall. Often played good guys, yes (and good apes), but was frequently the bad guy--evil cousin, wicked professor, etc. If he showed up on "Murder, She Hopes--er, Wrote," "MacMillan and Wife" and so on, my mother and I would always say, "Up! We know who the bad guy is!" (And he was such a nice guy in real life, LOL.) Second Vincent Price, already mentioned. God... what a voice....

Well, that blows that theory! I'm not sure I've ever known any women that print in all caps until now! Apparently I've been running in the wrong circles all these years.

An episode that bugs me
Published (2009-11-30 19:18:00)
I think it's believable. I imagine the horror of war is horror enough, and then to have your friend's legs get blown off, and then to have to silence him to save others, and then whatever other horrors followed... all within pretty much hours... that would have to do a number on your brain. There would have to be some memory suppression, I think, just to be able to live after that.

^ parkavenue, I agree. For all we know, Gibbs may have just gone into the office every Thanksgiving.

Not that I agree with what she did but after all she had been through I still have sympathy for her. First, her fiance before Tony sleeps with her best friend. And she and Tony had been together for about a year and were in love and going to move in together (or so she was led to believe) then she finds out it was all a lie. And she finds out her dad's life was a lie. Someone tries to kill her (...

I know this board is mostly made of intellectuals who like to discuss forensics and minute details and stuff, but I thought I'd try to start a thread that was a little different.
The idea is to think of a name, a saying, a specific piece of lab equipment, anything NCIS related that begins with each letter of the alphabet.
I'm fairly new to the board and it's been days since I've visited ...

I never had to interview for a college (I didn't go to a college where you have to interview), but I'm a seasoned public speaker. Here's my tips:
Look up possible interview questions on the internet. Practice answering the questions.
Research the college (sounds like you probably already have) so that you can easily answer any questions about the college if you are asked.
Practice ...

Thanks for sharing that Sunset. LOL. At work the other day someone was giving me a hard time and I happened to have a paper clip in my hand and I used Ziva's quote and had everyone laughing, not so much for the quote but because they knew I was using an NCIS quote AGAIN without me having to tell them where it was from. And that's one of my favorites.
I'm going to have to check out the website....

OMG.
This is where my brain starts to bleed and my paranoia sets in.
It always made me a little... hinky (thank you, Abby) that they could tell who is watching what show. I remember the Neilson Co. explaining that some houses were wired for monitoring, it was a representational statistic, etc. Back in the 70s, this calmed the fears that Big Brother was watching.
Now we have stats that ...

Great question Nas!
I've got one: Jeroen Krabbe.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106977/
Very early on in The Fugitive I figured out that he was "the one" because I'd loathed his character in The Prince of Tides .
I haven't seen Garret in anything by ER but since Steve Curtis was so "evil" on that show I'd probably assume he was a bad guy the next time I see him in ...
