Grillows, Thanks for being civil and having a sense of humor about it. I can't stand Natalie but I love Monk. I cannot, NOT watch Tony Shalhoub in Monk. So I am caught between one character I hate and one I love.

I do like the hypocrisy of Natalie fans(sarcasm)! They don't complain about Varnishing point who is hounding every anti-Natalie poster but have problem with me. It keeps getting better(sarcasm)! Fake Natalie fans just never cease to amaze me with their hypocrisy. You might want to learn waht hypocrisy is. Hounding? You mean I'm not allowed to make as many posts as anyone else? What happened to everyone is entitled their opinion?...

About quick engagements, I once typed this about William Powell): What you say about short engagements reminds me of the great actor William Powell (1892-1984). I put this together from the IMDb records. Powell was married to, and then divorced, Carole Lombard (26 June 1931 - 16 August 1933) . They were good friends after the divorce. He was on top of the world until 1937. His first picture with Jean Harlow was Reckless (1935), and they...

I don't think so - he felt horrible when he thought she would still be alive, if she hadn't gone to get him medicine. Besides, I still haven't heard a good WHY.

I still don´t think there´s Trudy -Mitch connection. I don´t know how much backstory writers had anyway but I think it sounds weird that they would be extending Trudy´s matter when it came to introducing utterly new character who wasn´t there for the first three seasons I see your point, however things have happened over the eight years that probably changed what the ultimate outcome would be. I...

I was looking at the USA's Trudy Case File, and figured that there are two things that are important (sorry if this has been brought up before) 1. Basically, I think the whole thing boils down to: who is "the Judge?" (I know that is a definite "duh" but I just wanted to point out the progression): The Judge--hires Frank Nunn to kill Trudy. Frank Nunn does not know why she was targeted. Frank Nunn--the...

Yeah, you're right on all counts. But it was "typical" Monk. It held my interest because Stot was getting married, but had the premise been something else than it would have been similar to the adopted dog episode (yawn). I thought Monk holding the Ring for 9 days was funny. I expected sound effects like creaking wood when they opened his hand at the ceremony, the way they dubbed in a ...

The two don't look that much alike - Monk's Trudy was a blonde - Leland's Trudy has dark hair. But they are/were both reporters. Who knows what TK was doing 12 years ago? Maybe she was an investigateive reporter too -- but if the killers killed the wrong Trudy, why didn't they try again? I REALLY don't think Leland had anything to do with Trudy's murder though. Mr. Monk goes camping is my favorite episode now mainly because I did not have to suffer thru Natalie's scenes which were so few compared to other episodes in this season. My personal thanks to the writers for making almost a Natalie-free yet a Monk-oriented episode. We need more of such episodes. Natalie was in several scenes which made the show much more enjoyable. If a major character in ...

He thought that somebody else had the ringtone from his garage band, even after they obviously had no idea who he was. That's one of the stupidest things he's ever done. But the talk he had with Monk was very heartfelt, and it's moments like that that make him my favorite regular character. Suspense is

I didn't care for the episode. But I thought that the weird ending was mostly a positive note for Monk's mental health state. As I posted elsewhere: Like many of you, I didn't care for it (and other episodes this season) because it wasn't funny, and the crime-detective aspects weren't clever or interesting. However, I disagree with those who thought the ending was inexplicable/poor. ...
