Greatest Martin Scorsese Film

Perhaps my statement was too broad-however I'd put the earlier films I mentioned among the best movies of all time, whereas in my mind The Departed would fall short of that category, although still a terrific film that I very much enjoyed.

oh PLEASE stop using dicaprio

You are so incredibly right. Though I would go so far as to call him below average. Furthermore, anything where DiCaprio tries to have an "accent" is completely laughable. See: Blood Diamond, The Departed, the new Shutter Island preview

My wife ask the single best thing about Marty? He was the greatest film student in history. He took from everyone more than other director but his films are still the work of his artistry.

This poll is awful and is clearly biased towards his more modern films. Both The Departed and The Aviator represent his worst work, not his best. Formally known as Coilector

Well, he's not the most emotional director around ( Raging Bull , maybe, excluded), but then neither are Hitch and Kubrick.
I AM NOT MONTEL WILLIAMS.

Scorsese doesn;t support Polanski's actions. He is insulted as a filmmaker that the goverment used the art of filmmaking to make political games. They should release him, out him back in france, ask his sorry for the inconvenience, give him money for the time they wasted and then, try to arrest him normally. Festivals ensure to all filmmakers, no matter where they came from that their movies and ...

Well when The Departed came out everyone said that it's good he's finally getting back to his roots and doing another crime movie that he always does so well. My absolute fave of his is Taxi Driver. It doesn't even feel like a typical Scorsese film but I loved it. That and DeNiro's performance. The Aviator is also great but I never would have guessed Scorsese would direct it based on his previous...

Coming from the same person who started a thread called Goodfellas!!!!! on the Dances with wolves board and wrote "The Best movie of 1990, bar none." and did you delete your thread on the Tarantino board after I proved you wrong about calling him racist?

I don't think he'll ever quit making movies as long as he is physically or psychologically able. He loves the process too much. And for the sake of American and worldwide cinema, I certainly hope he won't ever retire.

The OP has been laughed off the Polanski board. You are all more than welcome to him.
Don's going to fix it. He knows what that nut means to Utz and what Utz means to us.

The Departed is #1 on that list, followed by The Aviator and Gangs of New York.

Maybe if you drank bourbon with me, it would help.
