Yeah, don't worry -- it's all cool. You'll settle into into it pretty quickly as the series goes on (assuming you haven't already).

No Exit doesnt give all the details about Monotheism coming from the Centurions. Just how exactly did the become aware of this "God" and why do they believe it is God instead of something pretending to be God or something else

So, the complete lack of technology responsible for Starbuck's resurrection and the other wacky things on the program, the say-so of the beings performing some of these wacky things (like the Head characters), etc., mean nothing to you? What actually is and isn't on the program, in addition to the showrunner's say-so, has no meaning to you, then -- only your real world, personal beliefs do? If so, I guess there's nothing...

The series became so important to me that it's wonderful to hear the music and still be moved by it and remember certain scenes. However, Bear created truly beautiful music that transcends the show, standing on its own. I recently got the Season 4 soundtrack and can't believe how he used previous themes from the other seasons to pull them all together and to make them even better. 'The Shape of Things to Come' is one of my...

Ok, I see, gritty realism. Like you said, there were no friendly planets or starbases they could dock for repair and refits.

I think that is what Caprica seeks to explain. "It's not about money.... It's about sending a Message..... Everything Burns!!!"

Special mention to go to both villains - Gaeta convincingly brought to the point of becoming a miserable treacherous worm, and Tom Zarek finally dropping all pretences and coming out as a purely self-seeking tyrant... I think I appreciated Zarek a thousand times more after revisiting the original show and realising how rubbish Richard Hatch used to be all those years ago, and how subtle he is these days. I always loved his despairing looks of...

I watched The Plan and found the usage of cars that were blatantly Earth cars to be really distracting, almost as bad as having the characters go to a McDonald's or Burger King, or having a character wearing a Nike t-shirt.
Yeah, or singing All Along the... oh wait. Or reading Robinson Crus.... I mean reading Emily Dickenson... oh right...

I thought Scotty and all the other good Scottish engineers/inventors.
And I wouldn't think Ellen's face would launch a thousand ships. A small dinghy maybe or a little yacht.
Oh, so you're from the future? Tell me, do you still have sandwiches in the future?

I think in the podcast for " No Exit" (the episode where Ellen is downloaded and confronts John/Cavil), Moore gives a little a general insight.
There is nothing definitive-- just my take on what he says--
He mentions that something along the lines that God is sitting in a theatre, beyond the footlights, watching his creation (man) on stage.
Then man creates his own life-- Cylons. Man has ...

Uh, the idea is that Blu-ray has better picture and sound quality. If you want fewer discs but with the same amount of data as the DVDs, then presumably the picture quality will only be the same as the DVDs'.

:shakes head: I sense a troll. But, I'm gonna give this a go anyway. Didn't you listen to the opening of the miniseries when they first introduce the Galactica? I'm not even gonna tackle the aspect of the series being in the future.

Favorites: Kara "Starbuck" Thrace and Admiral William Adama . I loved both of these characters individually, but I especially loved their close father/daughter relationship.
Least Favorites: Tory Foster and Louis Hoshi . I didn't actually "hate" either of these characters. They just both seemed to come out of nowhere and neither was able to catch my interest at all.
This is my first ...

UK complete boxset includes all, except for Caprica Pilot, The Plan and Face of the Enemy Webisodes.
UK Blu Ray complete boxset has the same set up but with extended episodes but still does not contain Caprica Pilot, The Plan and Face of the Enemy Webisodes.
There's so much nudity on TV today... I just sit there shaking my fist.

I agree with you that this show got off to a great start before slipping back to the pack in its final season. I don't know if RDM didn't plan the overall arc of the show properly, or whether he did indeed have a plan. Perhaps his plan was similar to the fabled Cylon plan, that just turned out to be a pretty banal plan when all's said and done.
Remember that running a successful multi-season ...
