Due to lack of interest I have canceled this trip and will give it another try Presidents weekend, February 13-15th. So stay tuned I guess.

Hi Mark, I would very much like to attend next year, either with my 62 or as a passenger in a more "hardcore" rig. Would you comment on the vehicle requirements if you have a checklist in your mind? I'd like to gauge if I'll be able to bring my truck up to snuff. IIRC, the requirements for 2008 were at least one locker, at least 35" tires and capable of handling a 48" deep water crossing. ...

I voted for the Baja area of Mexico only because the corruption is so rampant there. However, as much as I loved Costa Rica every where I went my wife and I met people that had been robbed by some one with a machete. A guy tried to rob us on the Caribbean side our first week there. I love the country and I love Baja.... But I dont plan to go back to either for a long time.
