I love showing people bits of my world when we are out on the Trek... but to be honest, mornings like this, just my rig, my tent and my dog waking up to a view that perhaps no one has ever enjoyed before me... that is heaven. These pictures were taken on one of my quests for my personal Holy grail... trying to push a route through the mountains to connect two different trail systems. No luck so far... but a lot of fun trying. You do have to...

OK, brakes+beer=bad idea....let's do knuckles! In the dark. It'll probably rain too. We could just fill the radiator overflow...and the windshield washer reservoir. Just won't tell the newbee what we fill them with. So. do we assemble at my place, somebody others' place, a commercial establishment? (oh, for the newbee...any reference to a mall is a dig at the 80 series (you know, the Mall Cruisers))

Hah! Nothing like a free dog! I love seeing those Pigs! If I had that many I would put one together and paint it with Chrysler Corp Panther Pink. I am fixing to bring my brood up to see the old man next summer in Homer. I am thinking I will have to time it to correspond to your beginning or end of ACT

you're right 55, this is not S&T although we were only 12kms east of the S (the red sea), this location is about 200km north of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Mine is the blazer (1989), most of the other guys had FJ's in various states of modification in addition to one standard '09 land cruiser. The going is fairly easy at this site as most of the sand is compact although the dunes are huge, just make sure you don't get...

My apologies. I am a poor pig owner as I'm only familiar with the old ones. Glad you got the scrap cleaned up... still waiting for pics of your flower pots.

Hi Mark,
I would very much like to attend next year, either with my 62 or as a passenger in a more "hardcore" rig. Would you comment on the vehicle requirements if you have a checklist in your mind? I'd like to gauge if I'll be able to bring my truck up to snuff. IIRC, the requirements for 2008 were at least one locker, at least 35" tires and capable of handling a 48" deep water crossing.

It's On!!! Bring It!!!
I had some help with the shirt design this year. Thanks to Michelle and James. Great to lean on your friends (which is what Surf n Turf is all about for me), thanks to everyone for helping with the chores.
Traditional large logo on back, pocket logo on front. (don't want to explain myself a thousand times like last year.)
At least I did the dash plaque ...

I voted for the Baja area of Mexico only because the corruption is so rampant there. However, as much as I loved Costa Rica every where I went my wife and I met people that had been robbed by some one with a machete. A guy tried to rob us on the Caribbean side our first week there. I love the country and I love Baja.... But I dont plan to go back to either for a long time.
