Well, today I drained 1 liter of dirty fluid out, replaced it with the 3.1 liters from spec. I hope that'll help I'm going to do the transfer case while I'm there.

I was thinking that most peoples piggies are pre-78 so it would be an upgrade in strength and width. And for some it would make the swap from drum to disc on the front a cinch. I have spacers on mine to get some width for stability so I agree with you on the narrow stance. I say go for it. If I didn't have visions of bigger tires I would do it in a heartbeat! I have the fj60 axles just sitting and waiting also. I'm holding back...
