Got about 2 1/2 days into it thus far. Slow and steady progress. We only have both rear ends stripped. I have part of the sway bar that won't budge on the Princess left to deal with. I plan to remove it all together since I haven't used it on the Trail Pig and it has worked swell. I have removed the steering stabilizer on the Princess but not the Trail Pig yet. I have replaced all 4 brake lines with SS braided lines. We had some...

my suggestion would be bends and plug. what welder do you have? unless its a TIG it will be a nightmare to weld the edges, esp the vertical up where it meets the backside of the sills..... thats just my 2c's tho, otherwise it looks good! should let all that krud just wash out of there, why didnt toyota do this 30 odd years ago ?? will you put the support "X" brace in around where the bolt goes thru like toyota has done...

Lil John Yeah I found some square ones that fit really good after I already put those in. They are off the Postal Trucks fit almost perfectly. Once these go out that is what I'll put in. I just have to cut the hole a little bigger. I may actually do it sooner than later and put those on my boat trailer.

Body VINs should be on the plate in the engine bay, in front & above the pass side wheelwell & on the driver side B pillar. Frame VIN is stamped on the front pass side where the bumper mounts. I'm assuming your 69's the same as my '72.

A little more history...
At some point my dad added a Vap-r-kool setup, which was a water tank and pump in the back and a sprayer in front of the radiator. Worked wonders while towing a largish boat from Bakersfield to Tahoe in August.
Years later (10 years ago?!) the pump is rusted up, the tank is cracked, the old radiator isn't radiating like it used to, and I need to get up out...

It is still very much winter up here as you can tell but becoming very nice during the day
Here is a thread on the mini truck that I started over on YotaTech in efforts to get more info. I also had a thread here on Mud too. Steep learning curve but I picked it up quickly. I have a ball joint spacer ordered for the front. Will probably run Bilsteins up front. Then I have Old ...

So the nice weather yesterday and the hour of extra sunlight got me feeling like I should start working on my Piggie again.
I'm still trying to source a 2F that runs for a reasonable price to put into my Piggie. I have found a couple that haven't run in awhile - one for a VERY good price. I might just have to take the drive to pick it up and see if it works. It hasn't run in a while but...

I've got a 69 and I thought the 68 was the unique pig (due to the side turn signals). I get confused on how long these turn signals lasted into 69 or are they discontinued in Dec. 68?
I know many love the window vents on the early rigs. I had always driven early Ford p/u's so I was long used to this luxury for summer ventilation.
There are many who consider the later models with A/C ...

I found out he purchased the pig new in July of 1979, in Dallas, used as a DD until 1982, when he had Earl Shibe paint it the brown to match the rest of the ranch vehicles....over the blue and white He had the 10x15 Mud tires and wheels shown in the pictures installed then, drove it the 70 miles to Fannin County where it stayed on the ranch until last year. Other than desmog, header, stereo ...
