You might want to contact Mark, well that is if you want to keep the vintage column shifter, as he made an adapter to make it a 4-on-the-tree

How much adjustment + or - is available with these measurements?.......1/4 inch? more with cumulative measurements? That might help in finding a good "average".......seeing where all these measurements fall within a specific adjustment range..... The more the merrier........for sure.....Glad to see they're pretty close.....

OK, now the door surrounds. The opening where the soft top slides into the channel is 3/16". The vertical and horizontal bows meet tight and square.

The tops are different. The earlier tops (pre 65) had corrugated sides. The top also fit differently around the windshield. I have seen some early 40's with a later style top, but I can't be sure of the fit.

U sure your 59 color isnt just really faded? I matched up the A-1 truck from a hidden area of green and got something closer to your darker green.

Good question. I'm being very much guided by the panel shop. They took everything off the body they felt it needed. The hinges look good, although considering the rust that was under the windscreen hinges it was interesting decision. Everything else was taken off and sent away for a rust cleaning bath and came back gleaming. They are all to be painted seperately probably at the next painting. ...
