Appolyon- Grab a Surepower Isolator from Checker/Kragen/Schucks for like $30. They are good quality, the local power company uses them in all their utility trucks, and I'm using one.

Bilstein vs. Stock Shocks
Published (2009-11-23 14:14:00)
I would purchase new factory shocks, which are just over $100 for all 4. They're quality built, the rears have welded on gravel shields and importantly they're precisely and correctly tuned for your vehicle. I cannot overstate the importance of this last. People routinely buy off the shelf shocks and state they "feel better". Well duh - your old ones were so bad you finally decided to quit ignoring the problem and...

Power Steering Fluid all over...
Published (2009-11-23 18:55:00)
This is what I did: http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-te...r-install.html Some folks have also used transmission coolers from other Toyotas. I have an ATF cooler on the way from a parted out 80 that I am going to try to squeeze in on the passenger side in front of the rad/condenser, as I eventually want to get a hydraulic winch and I figure the extra fluid volume and cooling will be a benefit for that.

Rear pinion seal help
Published (2009-11-23 17:34:00)
a seal can't cost much, better to limit the leak now and do it 'perfect' later. my air locker has trouble holding air, so I'll be pulling the 3rd eventually. but this is my DD and I've got the driver's window out for motor repair, the rear DS out to replace the ujoints, and this leaking pinion. Priorities (and money) dictate that I'm better off waiting till I have a few days in a row to do the 3rd. Even if...

Sealing the ballast with silicone to make sure water doesn't get in.
Ballast mounted on the underside of the headlight (in the pic it's upside down)
The final result.
I sealed the headlights with silicone, but applied a layer of oil onto one half of the headlight. This way I still have the chance of pulling...

Toyodiy lists that at $57.04. The cdan price was somewhat south of that, but the advantage with those is that they are washable, so you only need to buy it once.

I didn't get a good look at her rig, but the passenger side tire is about 30* more passenger than the drivers side. I guess the racket she was making trying to drive home brought out some neighbors. I didn't get a good look at the damage to her ...

You might check the clamps on your tie rod ends. Check your FSM and it will tell you the proper angle for these clamps. If they're not right, they can catch on your lower control arms in tight turns on bumps. Simple fix = loosen and spin (clamp only) to proper angle, and retighten.

Pressure isn't so much the issue as the fittings.
IIRC the fittings won't be the same, and there aren't any standard adapters (that I could find in a quick search). You could build your own hose to adapt, but then you get into the question if you did it right, and even that may not be very easy.
Plus you then get into a rating/insurance thing. If the tank fails for some reason (like ...

The 300 mA for the tail fuse circuit is small compared to the 4.6 amp total draw, so your main short is somewhere that you haven't checked yet. This could include the chassis wiring to the key and fuse block and the power wire to the alternator.

Landtank MAF surprising scangauge results
OK, first of all, none of what I'm about to report is conclusive. This is just observation from reading the scangauge and other factors could be at play here and I'm not 100% sure how accurate the scangauge is in the following readings.
But basically I ordered Landtank's MAF ...

The cargo area dome light is activated by the rear doors being open, not the hatch. The light is not designed to come on with the opening of the hatch, but the rear doors.
I know, it's stupid and should have been designed otherwise, but wasn't
