I ment about the case and tail shafts... Could you mix and match parts to make an A440E that bolts to a split case?

Intermittent CDL Engagement
Published (2009-11-07 17:47:00)
Sorry for the dumb question, but are you moving when you are trying to engage it (after putting the t-case in low while stopped), and have you tried driving slowly while turning, in order to introduce some "differential" to the center diff, so that the dogs can line up and engage the lock? The relay you hear clicking may be the ABS, which is getting it's signal when the center diff actually locks.

Oil change nightmare

Lemme guess. They towed it 15 miles with the rear up in the air and the fronts on the ground?? So, your transfer case and viscous coupling took a beating. Document. Document. Document. Get a copy of the tow company's bill specifying what type of towing if this is the case. If they flat bedded it, I'll be impressed. DougM

aclos3, to my knowledge nobody has destroyed an engine. There have been several problems however. There was one bad sensor that was purchased used 2 issues do to dirty sensors 4 or 5 people had erratic behavior do to week contacts in the harness itself. Solid information, good or bad, should be posted with out fear of being harassed. It's that free and open exchange of info that has made MUD what it is. The real issue is that people...

Quality Carpet mats

Call the folks at QualityCarMats.com and see if they can "reverse" the pattern to work with RHD. Since the mats are made to order (and in the USA), it may be a possibility...and let us know if that works for future reference. If garage sales or the local CL doesn't yield the appropriate jackstands, just keep an eye on the ads in the paper and at the local partshouses. This time of year and with the economy, there will be deals. Whatever you get, be sure to get them so that they go tall enough to get the truck off the floor. Usually anything that tall will be heavy enough to hold an 80 up. Best to get ones that have a good wide base if you have a choice.

yes, he had three bumpers done when we started the group buy along with some pre 95 slides. Everything else is being built in batches, all the bumpers at once, then all the sliders, and shipped off as completed. I know that he was short some lazer cut parts for both the bumpers and sliders, but was rushing the parts. good luck

Looks like it could be moisture or if it was just driven, possibly just foam from aeration.

Kurt,
Stock brakes, or do you have the 100 pads or any other mod? In low range, does your "ABS" light come on?

I have an ome medium lift and 285's with no armor and it is perfectly adequate. I did add airlift bags to stop the sagging and give better control when towing. Blue slee caster bushings got me back into spec. Even with this lift the axles are offset a bit due to the panhards. When I eventually get 315's I may go with a 1" body lift with slightly taller bumpstops rather than a taller lift and ...

Sounds like the system needs to be properly bled. To bleed, do this: fill the system to proper capacity, jack up the front end, slowly turn wheel from lock to lock about 10 times (engine off). Watch the fluid level to make sure you don't suck in more air. Put the lid back on lightly and let it sit for an hour or so. Repeat this process like 3 times. Have a friend watch and once you get to the ...

The two JDM mirror housing pieces are the same part number and interchangeable with the US as are the tilt up/down/left/right motors.
You will have to swap out your US mirrors (pictured here in white) and attach them to JDM sub frame. Your US left mirror will be stamped, 3514 L FLAT. The US right mirror will be stamped, 3515 R R1000.
The motor plate that the mirrors attach to ...

It will cause no problems. I run it every other tank to keep the valves good and clean. I normally see a few extra mpg when running premium.

You usually get what you pay for.
Interesting specs. Interesting how they are getting that many amp hours and that much reserve capacity for that price. Something has to give to be nearly $200 cheaper than the Die Hard PM-1 and have similar specs.
One thing that's interesting is that the CCA is measured at 32*, which means it'll be less at 0*. The PM-1 has 1150 CCA at 0*.
I wonder...

wtf :(
We have all our cars insured by them, and in the process of getting home and flood with them.
We have always been happy with their service. But as other have said (friends/folks/etc) dont let that deter you from switching to meet your needs.
Im curious as well.

The cruiser handles very well without chains IMO. Even with old worn tires I was amazed. New tires made it even better. With that said I do have chains and have used them. I have the Laclede Alpine SS chains
