What about gas\petrol engine? Toyota only sells gas powered engines in Canada, could you swap the 2L TE Diesel engine for a gas engine from a 4Runner. The gas\petro version of the Prado used the 22R and was the same as the 4Runner, could this match up with the transmission from the diesel?

I was wondering if there are any fans/supporters of the 2 LT diesel? Does anyone have anything good to say about the 2 LT? I am looking at a 1986 LJ70 with the 2 LT, but all here is how bad the engine is. Not sure if I should persue it or not? Feedback please?!

WEll after 14 months the Lockers are installed finally. All we need now is the Compressor connected and the wiring done. It all being done with AIR and I am getting two flashing lights installed for when the lockers are engaged also. At the same time the new seats were installed (from an ISUZU TROOPER 2 DOOR) and the harnesses and the rollcage also installed. The cage is fully removeable....

Hi, I've got a 1985 BJ70 that has been passed down to me. I have been having issues with it at highway speeds, however. At first, I thought that it was just that the vehicle was old (730,000 km--same engine ), or that it was related to driving in cold weather, but I am able to get up to highway speeds intermittently (and in the cold too). I was wondering if anybody had any opinion as to why...
