I'll go with Soriano, Beltran, Guerrero, Rollins, and Abreu . . . I feel like Ramirez came up just short, with something like 28 HR and 51 SB a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure that he hasn't stolen over 40 since then.

YankeePhoenix911 posted: Hughes and Joba would not both be part of a deal. No one is talking about trading them both and this does not come up in any of the analysis of the hypothetical situations being discussed. That being said, with a contract extension likely occurring in a narrow window that will decide whether or not Roy will be traded, Halladay will not have the kind of leverage he needs to demand a $22M annual average value. No. He screwed himself when he signed that deal with the Angels without a stipulation that they could offer him arbitration. He couldn't accept arbitration because of his low salary there would be very little upside but if he was a free agent that would have cost a team their first round pick he would have gotten less than he did....
