Hi Murray The more recent i30s have 2 as you say, but did you spot this thread ? A good read, in which you'll be able to see how to purchase a second remote keyfob and the prices (at that time).. Also, see here Good luck and happy reading (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif )

lol, i moved my locking nuts to a safe place in the house when i first got the car end of may. i should really put em back in car as they no good in house. My lovely i30 of 3 months was broken into last week with some scumbag putting a brick through the passenger window. They went in the glove compartment and took my handbook and my box of locking wheelnuts which had lain there since July and I kept on delaying putting them with the spare wheel. The handbook was £35 to replace at the dealers;new wheel nuts were also £35 plus an hours labour to cut off the existing ones at £80!...

Hi all New UK i30 owner here. My wife has an i30 1.6crdi comfort and I've just taken delivery of an i30 2.0crdi premium (second hand, 8,800 miles on the clock). My wife got two remote keys with her car, and I got one remote key and one standard key. To the questions: Is it possible to buy a second remote key, and how expensive are these? I have an after market towbar attached, my question to those that have an Hyundai fitted bar is, do they retain the plastic undertray or is it removed as is the case with the after market bar. Cheers

Murray, I have the same vehicle and a spare key/fob cost me £109 at a dealer in Birmingham.

Some photos I prepared earlier (just used my mobile so they aren't that clear) Can't see the technical adjustment made with pen clip but can hopefully make out bow in plastic bumper caused by pressure of bolt coming up from underneath.

hi evimarn, i took delivery of my i30 on 29th May 2009. everything was fine. 4 days later, my remote control would not work. exactly how you have described. contacted the dealer who said to take the car in, they had it all day and when i went to pick it up, they said i needed a new remote. got 2 new remoted, they programmed them, all working fine. following day, same again. contacted ...
