Greetings Sisters, I know you girls will understand and not judge me and I really need to vent.....so here it goes. I went back to my Dr. yesterday to get the results of my ultasound and set a date. Well she did go over the results and said all in all it looked good. Anyway, she said I had to wait another 2 weeks before i could come in and sign the papers also for the insurance company...

Well I find it appropriate for one time in my life of cycling that my cycle is called a period (full stop, the end). It has hit with a vengeance this morning, a week early, instant cramping, back ache, diarrhea, heavy flow, cramps it's like a big finally it just couldn't go out quietly! It is a reminder of how my cycle has controlled my life for 24 years (oh my word, where did those years go?)!...

After reading several posts about how important it is to have a gyn onc at the surgery if cancer is suspected, I got online to check out my doctor. Thought I'd see if one of her colleagues was an oncologist. I was quite happy to find that my regular gynecologist is also an oncologist. She's been my daughter's ob/gyn for several years and I really like her so when my GP needed to refer me I ...

I know I have a wait before my surgery ( March 3,2009)TAH but I have been wondering about my daily meds that I take. If I will have to stop them or if I will continue to use them. I suffer from extreme anxiety attacks. So, I take Paxil 20mg and Vistiral(sp) 25mg. I also am wondering if what effects will the Paxil and Vistiral have on HRT if I need them. Just wondering if anyone else is in this ...

Thought I'd share some good news sisters! I sometimes forget that the darkest clouds can, DO, have silver and GOLD linings. Had I not needed a hyst and the gear I would need for the hospital, I would never have had this twist of fate. Here's what happened to me this week. I had been looking all over for my "Princess Robes" but couldn't find anything I thot would work. I wanted something...

Am I a nut or have others noticed this phenomenon? I can't not relate every thought I have to my upcoming surgery: Halloween is 2 weeks after the big H, will I be able to go out with my kid trick-or-treating? A big meeting at work is the day before my pre-op, will I be able to concentrate? Then the day of the pre-op I'm supposed to be fasting for a religious holiday, I hope...

Yep. Sorry. If any of you have ever had to do a bowel prep prior to having a colonoscopy, how does that compare to the bowel prep prior to a hysterectomy? I remember having to get some sort of powder (a prescription, of course) to dissolve into a gallon jug of Crystal Light I had to make up, and then I was supposed to refrigerate it overnight to chill. Is that like a pre-hyster bowel ...

I need to start preparing for the surgery. Its 2 ½ weeks from now. Night clothes
Will I be comfortable in a large sleep shirt? I prefer T-shirt style night shirts, would I be more comfortable in the button up type
or maybe like lounge pants and tshirt? I think I would most like night pants and tshirt, but am scared about the waist band
also, what season should I buy? Will I be ...

Hi I'm a new sister, want to be as prepared as I can be. Are there any issues particular/specific to TVH compared to abdominal procedures? My doc is very confident, but I want to be sure. Apparently here in Australia vaginal procedure is quite commonplace, but this site is so amazing... I haven't had a whole lot of luck. Mayb that's because the vaginal procedure is so wonderful and everyone '...
