Pelvic Adhesions?
Published (2010-01-03 21:48:00)
Thanks Orahdeb. Can I blow off some steam here? Right now I am just trying to get through until Tuesday when I go for a follow up ultrasound for my ovary. At this stage I don't know the start from the end and feel very confused. At this point all I know is I have adhesions from my A&P surgical report but how much etc I don't know and I have a small solid ovarian mass/tumor which we found 4 months ago. I am only a 2 months...

Hi Gray27 Just read this thread.   Quote: i have a bulge in the back and a very pronounce round bulge in the front.. its kinda ribbed looking.. to be honest and totally EMBARRASSED.. its looks like i have a golf ball, then a ping pong ball and then maybe a gumball.. this is when i sit and kinda bear down some.. Good description! That sounds what I look like with the mirror test. I have cystocele and rectocele as well as prolapsed...

babs-- I am sorry you are having this problem. Have you seen your doctor about it yet? Let him or her know that you even suspect a fistula possibility? That would be the next step to take, if it were me. I truly hope it's not the case but I'd want to know. Sending you many extra .....

You could ask if what you are feeling might be rectocele or prolasped uterus. I don't remember feelng anything there, but it was almost impossible to have a BM. Somtimes people have some intestine prolapsed also (I forgot what you call that one). Well good luck. I hope the blood pressure medicine works out. Maybe after surgery your blood pressure will improve some when the worrying goes away. You will be glad when this is all over and...

I've had a few spasms while in the hospital but not too bad. Either the meds are working or I'm just not having much. The dr said some people are prone to getting them while others are not. I'm staying away from caffine or any other irritant just in case. The nurse showed me how to flush the cath too. What a mess I made trying it at the hospital. The solution comes out way too fast! Just have to watch so if I'm drinking...

Hi Sarah My gyn referred me to a urologist and the first appointment was just an interview (by TV no less) and he set up the cystoscopy for a month later when he was in our town. I was told this was a normal procedure (in Ontario) for specialists to do the TV consult first. Really just wanted to say Hi and wish you well. Hugs, Suzanne

KLE , I was fitted for a pessary a few years ago for a severe uterine prolapse, and did find it very helpful. I only wish I had tried it sooner. I was diagnosed with a prolapse when I was 32, but didn't try the pessary until about 52. I used some KY jelly to help insert it. And I found relief within a few days. I think it took some time for my body to adjust ...

Summer-- Are you feeling better yet? It is awful to be sick esp. this time of year. Sometimes a chronic cough can cause prolapse issues to occur but it doesn't always happen, of course. You need to talk to your doctor(s) of course. Make sure you are getting the right treatment for your illness as well as make sure your recovery is still going okay. It ...

Nicole-- I hope you've been finding relief for this. When I had them, mine caused pain mostly in certain conditions. It truly depends on where your adhesions are, how many you have, how long you've had them--there are so many different things that can happen for each individual. Before I had mine removed--along with my fallopian tubes and 1 ovary--I would ...

(((Nicole))) **cyber hug** I am sorry you are feeling so down...but boy do I understand exactly how you feel. Personally, I did not feel better/pain free for months, I'd say 6 months, after my surgery and sex was painful probably the first 10 times we tried. I called my doc probably 10 times in the first 6 months and he kept reassuring me that it was normal...

I had a stage II rectocele, and the surgeon only operated because I complained of severe constipation and could not empty myself except manually. If I was having no problems, he wouldn't have done the repair.
