You should keep it well ventilated and don't ever leave it on when it's not in use. I'm sure youre familliar with the RROD. You'll probably want to pick up another wireless controller as well as a play & charge kit so you don't have to keep buying batteries. as far as games.... Halo: ODST Gears of War 2 Fable II...

I have mag beta, game is so crap. Graphics are horrible compared to MW2, and theres like no recoil in mag which makes it easy to kill people.

Torrent? I don't think any site has enough bandwidth to host full 360 games. You'd probably be better renting them and burning them yourself (not sure if theres a way now), than waiting for a 7gb+ download to finish with probably not many seeders, unless you got that T1 hookup.

People tend to think PS3 exlusives have better graphics than 360 graphics but cross platform games usually look better on the 360.
