JAZ: Daisy chaining won't work for input unless the MIDI OUT on the last keyboard before the PC can merge the data. It varies greatly from keyboard to keyboard. Often a MIDI OUT will only output what is generated by the keyboard. There is probably a setting on the OP's keyboards that enables the merging, something like a "merge thru to out" setting or it may need no setting at all, so you are right it's...

QUOTE (Joe30 @ Dec 17 2009, 12:29) Then I manually modify the artist or album name, then search again. But then when I save a picture, it is saved in C:\...pictures, instead of in the starting folder. Try unchecking "Open search results in new window" in the options pane of the search window. That way, after you modify the artist or album name, the search will take place in the same window, and the...

Programmable EQ software?

How does any DAW besides the recommended programming library qualify for "totally automated" & "several times a minute"? This post has been edited by rpp3po : Dec 18 2009, 20:30

Fandango, I have to ask, was your post (or some parts) directed to me? I really can't tell, left me wondering. QUOTE (Fandango @ Dec 18 2009, 19:06) But then what should I call those new tag fields? The problem is that there is no standard naming convention for such data. Maybe I'm lost at what you're trying to say but, what does it matter what names you give for your custom tags? Those are there for you. Who...

QUOTE (AlexVallat @ Dec 15 2009, 18:49) QUOTE (Joe30 @ Dec 15 2009, 17:22) the "File Browser" finds "Artist = 1" or "Artist = .". If the artist and album are part of the file or folder name, you could use file path pattern matching instead of tags. Alternatively, would you be able to send me a sample track that shows the problem? I can analyse the tags on...

QUOTE (RonP @ Dec 17 2009, 11:31) I need to do this several times per minute in a totally automated fashion. Cakewalk's various DAW programs can do this, letting you control all EQ parameters using track envelopes. Is that what you mean? --Ethan

Yeah, it depends on what Ron the OP has in mind. He wrote "a given point in time I want to tell the playback software to load EQ profile" so I assume he...

I'm not sure if it does what you want, but the most affordable DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is Reaper ($60 USD for home use & non-profits). Audacity (FREE!!!) has something called Envelope Editing , which allows you to adjust the volume , but I don't believe it has a similar feature for EQ. hi audioapprentice. I haven't had the need to use MIDI trhu, but are you sure that you actually need two connections? Isn't the purpose precisely to "mix" (in a way...) MIDI streams? And he's said he's using an older version, so the configuration doesn't look the same. Maybe the older software didn't support multiple MIDI inputs.

http://sox.sourceforge.net/libsox.html has everything you need! If you don't understand it or prefer something else than C(++), just pipe stdout/stdin through the SOX command line program.

one last addition: i notice that EAC appends a leading zero to the UPC, which according to standards is supposed to be 12 digits. Adding this additional 0 to the beginning makes the CATALOG value 13 digits, the zero + the UPC. anyone know why it does this, or just a glitch? sorry for so many questions..

QUOTE (kornchild2002 @ Nov 24 2009, 00:43) QUOTE (GregDunn @ Nov 23 2009, 11:32) I suspect many bands (who actually own their recordings) would prefer to make the downloads available from a source 100% under their control. Not to go too far off-topic but this seems to be the case with live recordings. Artists such as KISS, Metallica, and even Disturbed offer live ...

Perhaps you should tell us what you don't like about the software you've used, and what digital format(s) you use? I think it has something to do with the format of your book. If it's in Audible format, it has DRM ( copy protection) and your playback options are more limited (although I think there are work-arounds). I've only listened to one audio book and it came on CDs. I listened ...

If you are referring to FM radio in HD1 that format they use I am pretty sure some radio stations have switched to lossy MP3 streams. Sirius and XM Radio use the SBR extension of AAC (which some people complain about as being suboptimal, but it's done for bandwidth reasons). It's also mentioned in various wiki's that the European Broadcasting Union uses FLAC for distribution of content over...

Is there a way to get iTunes v 7 to use the folder.jpg in the artist\album directory where I stored it from searching in AAD? iTunes has it's own album art directory structure and doesn't recognize my folder.jps's when I load my itunes library with new discs.
