Hi Brian; That's great Frank will try to supply Yamato 14:15 gears. I've been trying to get "drop-in" Yamato Gear replacements, but will drop that project if Frank can build good 14:15 gear sets. Regarding new KOMATO Gearcases, they have much bigger, and stronger, gears. I promise to have all spare parts readily available, either from myself, or Dudley. One more interesting tidbit about this boat. Ralph DeSilva told me it has a fir finish which was an option back then. Probably the reason it still looks so good and why it weighs alot more than I think it should. BW

Hello Brian; I'm glad you came up with a source for YAMATO "Hatchet" 14:15 gearsets. Way to go! I've got a very good supply of Yamato "Hatchet" (A) Propshafts, (B) Oilseals, (C) Bearing, and (D) Improved hardened SHIM's. KOMATO "Hatchet" Gearcases also are available, with plenty of spare parts. Bummer that it can’t be molested… Tom Kargus & I have several 80 & 102 blocks that were bought from a guy who was from Texas a few years ago that were not legal for racing in APBA but I guess legal in AOF. Bummer was he told us it was all legal equipment. At least we were old time racers and not a new guy getting screwed over.
