Some users fell through the cracks. I for one was not able to use the $5.99 T-Zones, nor the $19.99 VPN Total Internet and was forced to upgrade to the $24.99 android plan with my MyTouch 3G. As time goes on they may block it for y'alls, just FYI.

Hi-z, your post contains a couple of inaccuracies. First you state: Quote: You can run the same smart phones TMO carries on t-zones only if it was never locked/branded to TMO to begin with. If it was sold unlocked from the manufacturer you have no worries about being able to run on the t-zones plan. This is not true. Prior to the release of the My Touch 3G, people were using the HTC Magic and the Google Ion on T-zones. These were unlocked and...

Try pulling out your battery Mike for 15 seconds or so then reinsert and see if you see the letters in upper case again upon reboot. Like Greg said there may be a temporary RIM outage in your particular area. Sometimes my sisters 8900 (active on the BIS) will also revert to lower case "edge," for some reason and never recover on its own. She lives across town from me but I only see her maybe 3 times per month. When I see her...

Just did a battery pull. As I had figured - it did the job. This has never happened before - at least that I noticed. Thanks, mak618, for pointing out the technical difference. I had been getting/sending email and SMS while in the "altered state". My 8320 seems to run down to almost no "file free memeory" 2-4 times a month. The phone doesn't seem to act differently, except maybe the Brick Breaker game....

No you won't be charged for any data usage since T-Mobile never has a PPU data rate.

This is like when retailers advertise a Wii for $99, BUT you have to buy the Wii bundle pack for another $149.00.

No you don't need to have data in order to use the phone. As long as the frequency is a quad that works with t-mobile then it should be fine. If they decide to get data in the future it will not be able to access the 3g network.

no difference.
it's kinda like the way some phones say "t-mobile" (without the spaces) v. "t - mobile" on the display. it just all depends what t-mobile wants to do.

This is final answer on this.. EM+ does NOT get a discount. However if your employer/school/association has an agreement on file and part of that agreement is waived act fees, then you will get that fee waived.

Ask for $1200 and settle for $1000 per month, to be reopened after three years.
Also tell them "Don't forget to throw in free service."

I don't see anything wrong with each provider having it's own favorite smartphone OS. As far as GSM carriers in the US, AT&T has iPhone OS and T-Mobile has Android. I don't see anything wrong with keeping it that way.

We all know that T-Mobile has a smaller nationwide footprint than Verizon, but other than network size which we can't control, how would you like to see T-Mobile improve?
Let's focus on T-Mobile to keep the discussion in good taste.

EM+ 3 in 1 1k should be for you, no contract
it's $70
the requirement is: you have to bring in unlocked phone or buy phone in full price
the best bet is to buy Dash 3G, it gives you sweet HSUPA where it is available.

Most likely not but it doesn't hurt to try.
I got turned down 3 times via online chat even though I had in back in July/August.
