Well...I decided to bite the bullet and leave my data "ON" with my blackberry. I don't however use the browser and the GPS. GPS (Telus Navigator) I tried it...but now it asking for my consent to allow Telus, Rim etc to access my info as per the picture below taken from my father in-laws home in Miami. Anyone have any inside info on this. Seeing as Manitoba is the last on the map to have both voice and data coverage. Latest I've heard is that Telus is actually expanding outside of Winnipeg and people have sign land agreements for tower locations. Well, I thought they wouldn't dare but on my latest e-bill I've been charged for receiving 2 text messages. The only text messages I receive are from Telus. Nice way for Telus to generate a little extra cash. I've sent an email complaining and I'll call as soon as their customer care is open.
