I am pretty sure that you can load the OS, but without it being active, you will never get the service books on there, or the browser.

Generally once that account is gone, it is really gone. Don't think ATT can even revive it, but it is worth a call any way. That is one main reason many of us do not recommend using it. If you need to forward and "park" email, I recommend either Yahoo or Gmail. IMHO, Gmail is better since it appears to have a much better SPAM filter than Yahoo, at least for me. And the only way to read email to that account is on the BB...

Wirelessly posted (BB Tour 9630: Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.14320/812; U; en) Presto/2.2.0) Nope but why don't you give one of the leaked versions a try? There are a couple minor bugs, but nothing to worry about. Threaded SMS is a dream!

New bbm, yellow/white triangle.
Published (2009-11-13 11:52:00)
It's yellow if you came back from another screen without having previous read the message. When you go do something else and come back, it's white because you had previously read it already. I don't think the orange changes to white until you navigate away from the conversation and come back. Any new messages received since you last saw the conversation will have yellow arrows.

From what I have read, OS 5.0 upgrades require that the device have a BB data plan. Not sure what OS you are trying to load. AFAIK, there is no . 304 OS. Maybe it is 4.5.0304 or 4.6 or 4.7 or 5.0?

Sure - no newspaper would ever print anything that's incorrect.
No one here knows the release dates! The T-Mobile date has been reported elsewhere (same article), but it was also going to be available on the 4th, 11th and 16th. Probably ever other date in November also.

On my bold I have used ever since it's release I did too notice the battery life becoming increasingly shorter. The thing that fixed it for me was just swapping in a new battery. If you dont use data disable the 3G, reduce the backlight timer and lower the brightness to 10 for the meantime if you can handle it as I find it lasts much longer compared to brightness 100. Maybe if ...

I agree. I looked at both the 9000 and the 9700 just the other day….I was trying to decide which phone to go with. I favor the 9000 keyboard, screen, style, etc over the 9700. I find the keyboard is to small and the space bar is a little difficult to use on the 9700. I was even offered the 9700 for around $229.00.
After seeing your post that was it, I decided to go with the ...

I use Gmail through BIS. Full push, and you can customize the signature.

Go into your contacts and add the number as a full number 1- xxx-xxx-xxxx and see if that fixes the problem.

First BIS does not do 2-way sync in native IMAP. If you need instant gmail on your BB then just add it in the BIS w/username and password.

8520 doesn't have GPS; 8900 does.
8520 has a lower resolution camera.
This isn't new - the 8520 has been out for months (alongside the 8900) on T-Mobile. It is a lower cost BlackBerry with fewer features.

The only physical branding would the piece under the keyboard.
You can't really get an unbranded OS...you need to use some program made by RIM to debrand the phone. It's looked down upon because it might pose as security threats and there is a chance of bricking your phone.

I didn't know they made a battery charger like that. I like it. The screen is amazing, especially coming from an 8330. I like the cover, but I think I'm gonna pick up an OtterBox for mine.
I guess I'm gonna have to change my user title now......
