Guys, I've been looking through the user manual for the VZ Omn2, and it has Nuance Voice recognition!! This is very exciting. I thought it having Swype keyboard was grand enough, but now I find out it has Nuance voice recognition. Nuance makes Dragon voice recognition software, and I own a copy of the medical version and it is excellent. So instead of Microsoft's Voice Speed Dial, where you select a contact and then record a name,...

Well some of the UI hacks I see on the WM6.5 looks pretty good. But I think I may just go omnia II.

I'm a Unix admin and I love my WM device (Omnia). The ease of syncing with Outlook for my meetings and notes and the customization of the home screen to show the meeting topics and location without having to navigate to another screen or app is great, just like on my Treo 700P. I have the weather forecast for the next 7 days, number of emails from my roadrunner account, ...

I always make it a point to throw out the VZW software. If you are running Vista or Win7, make sure you have something called Windows Mobile Device Center installed. It lets you control what is synced. I have a 6800 and had some trouble geting Windows 7 to recognize it. You might have to do some plugging and unplugging and restarting before it happens. Here is a link to ...

I don't believe the Samsung Omnia is a world phone--basically one that supports GSM--as far as I recall at least. So, there's really no "unlocking" that would apply given that. What are you trying to do?

I can probably cover at least some of these: 1. Not quite sure about that one not having looked through that much. 2. Yes, you can definitely tether, but you would need a tethering feature from VZW, whin in your case would cost $30/month (although you can add and remove it as you need it and get it prorated at basically $1/day). 3. You don't have to unlock the phone to use it ...
