T-Mobile has always been in the Android bed, hence the AWS1700 3G.....while AT&T has been with Apple. However I wouldnt be surprised if HTC/google put ATT 3G in it.

Droid is faster. But I prefer the eris due to form factor, sense ui, and price. Eris battery life is bad. But, I can plug it in at work and all is good. The Eris is a really nice phone and 2.0 is coming to the Eris. It is not as fast as the Droid.

That is correct, currently only the Rogers G1 and Touch will work on AT&T 3G network. however Boygenius reported a few days ago that Droid was coming to Telus. I didn't look into the article to see if it's for Telus's old CDMA 3G network or their new network which would work with AT&T. Take a look at that.

I'm not sure about discounted phones but you can buy any of the Android phones from Canada and they will work on ATT. Telus should be getting the Droid soon.

HTC has SENSEUI, Motorola has Blur, etc. IMO, its a smart way of doing it. If they did it ...

I don't think there will be any candybar style android powered phone. Mostly, due to the fact that the interface is all touch screen, and to keep the icons big enough to be finger friendly the phone's need big screens. Due to the big screen requirement, the only way to go is either on-screen keyboard or slide-out keyboard.

2. Android will pause your music when you receive a call and then resume automatically when the call is finished. So no worries about missing that favorite track. 3. You can use USB & Bluetooth to tether your Android device... depending on current updates, ROM's.. ect. Try Bluetooth Tether in the Market. The HTC Magic (which I have unlocked albeit with Vodafone branding) ...
