current state of tablet pcs?

You'd probably be better off getting a nice graphics tablet. Tablet PCs are nice and all but even the highest end tablet PC isn't as good as a mid-ranged graphics tablet. You'll also save quite a few $. http://about.pricegrabber.com/searc...t_graphicssoft& (I'm pretty sure that's one of the best graphics tablets on the market at the moment) I've been using a HP TouchSmart TX2 for a few months now....

Good enough gaming PC?

From what I've read E-Machine's biggest problem is their PSUs are cheap and when they go bad they take down the motherboards. Not sure if Gateway has corrected that by now. But if I were to base a gaming PC from an E-Machine the Power Supply would need to be the first upgrade anyway.

Blu-Rays backup....

PS3 you'll need to mod by soldering the chip on. There's only one chip currently that is supposed to work yet always seems to be "out of stock" everywhere. Movies will just be a pain because of the copy protection. Oh and hiding behind the word backup won't do you any good if you get busted. The loophole was closed years ago by providing replacement [or backup] disks; you can send the developer your broken...

No one anti-spyware program will get em all, I have found you need several to make sure your system is clean after being infected. First clean out your system restore cache, remove all previous restore points as they are probably infected as well. Cleanup your temp files and the like, a nice program for this is Ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ . Go to your control panel and open up the java program, clean out all temp files from there. Go to...

Just for comparison, what would an unlimited data plan with 900 minutes and 250 text per month cost? Anyone?

unless the bluray movies are ones that you yourself have made, they will be copy protected. Games will too. A burner itself will do nothing about the copy protection, and most burning software such as nero, roxio, etc, will tell you that it can't copy the media.

I haven't tried it but it should be possible. I don't see anything that would limit it.
For me, I purchased a 3G router which allowed me to do the same thing as you but cost a bit more and was easier to set up.

That's definitely not a gaming PC. (without knowing the MB specs I can't even tell you how upgradeable it is)
What's your price point?

CPU: Intel E7200
Graphics: Nvidia 9800GT (slightly O/C)
Ram: 2GB DDR2
HDD: 170GB Sata

So, those keys work without pressing Fn? Could be a driver issue if that's the case.
