That is the stated reason why they rely so heavily on claiming conditions to seperate out runners- it is supposed to be a reliable way to CLASSify the track stock. IMHO one of the best ways to handicap is to consider what the track tries to do to equalize the competition and then "reverse engineer" the condition book according to the individual horse's record. At least in my theory; Unless there is/are factor(s) strong...

I don't have to cloak myself in anything. WHat is good for me should be good for every player, unless you live in bizarro world. Which seems to be where we have arrived now, since you continue on advocating forcing players to bet with incomplete information by closing early.

Anyone know what kind of fund size they are attracting? I'd be interested to see how much the wizard is "managing."

It is a fractured industry. It isn't a case of either or where money is spent by certain factions. Money spent on pool integrity isn't money that would have been spent on drug testing. Drugs and pool integrity are two big issues. Yes, drugs is the number one issue, but I expect the industry to try to take steps to clean up both simultaneously, not one at a time.

Opening day of the inner track

Seems like another slap at the guys who pay for the game. It would seem to me ( :rolleyes that if NYRA is the classiest circuit, yadda yadda yadda, they would have all this key info on their web page. See, I play Tampa, so I am not expecting world class racing! __________________ Etch-a-Sketch....the Amish Laptop!

I don't think that it's a matter of superiority. As has been noted on the forum, the down side to handicapping, as far as attracting " new blood" is concerned, is the time and effort involved in absorbing and synthesizing the amount of information needed to reach a point of consistent proficiency or profitability. The up side to that is that those who do choose to make that effort would be ...

Just watched the replay. The 2 (the other half of the entry) reared up in the gate as the race started and never left the gate. I guess they called the 2 a non starter and then that goes for the entry as well. I didn't wager on the race.
If anybody knows if this is what happened or if there is another explanation I would like to hear it.

I could improve my betting a thousand percent if I had a clue as to when the favorites are going to dominate.
Normally I play longshots, but many times the races I expect the favorite to win are the ones where I hit with a big longshot.
When I think a race is wide-open, it seems like the inevitable 4.40 bet down winner romps home.

Opening day of the inner track
I didn't make a single bet today but noticed not only was the track favorable to outside closers, it just looked like the horses weren't running smoothly over the surface and I can't figure out why.
I'm thinking maybe there was more dirt than usual but times were on par.
Rain tonight so will have a better ...

I don't know the answer, but it is interesting (and sometimes frustrating) the differences in the charts. If you want conditions or gender then use the BRIS ones. If you want to know the runups use Equibase.
Still I am very happy they both have opens them up for free and the horse look up has been very helpful in my handicapping. So kudos to them!...

A horse that hasn't run is only worth what he is capable of doing right now. The sale price doesn't matter. The horse didn't start until late in his 5 year old season so he obviously had big problems.
There is no telling why the breeder wanted him back. Maybe it was just sentimental. But, it looks like he made out twice earning another $12,000 or so on the claim.

Yesterday the state of KY announced they wil be hiring someone to look over every bet made into the state. As if the players and the tote are some kind of major integrity leak-which they aren't. SO now some guy somewhere has access to every bet, its owner and its origin. If you actually made money at this game you ...

It looks to me like it's one of those races where it depends who sends. Sir Bell showed some speed last time but in his other races not all that much. Pedroza usually sends more often than not. Limestone Edge looks like he could go.
On top of everthing else it's a short field!
Good Luck if you do make a bet!
