I ended up just reinstalling to see, and yeah, pretty much as you folks have said. You can still load via end of route files, so that might carry force over.

I had some similar issue - it came from the assistant file. Read the readme to get the "default" assistant - IT'S NOT SHAMPOO. She's peorth, feorth or something. You should have this assistant file under the slavemaker 2*14 root, ppretty easy to figure out. Make sure you name your assistant THAT name when creating your character. Worked fine with me, though I don't remember ...

I tested on other machine without problems. If you getting mensagens that can't find a file that is there, is cause you didn't inserted the 3 registry files.
