Isolate vs. Regular Whey Protein?
Published (2009-11-12 14:50:00)
Isolate is a more "pure" protein. Meaning it has more ACTUAL protein, along with less fat, in it compared to regular whey. It is more easily delivered to muscles and has less lactose per serving than your typical whey protein. Honestly, I don't think there is a big enough difference in the two to make up for the cost.

Yes I usually just respond to my body. If it's feeling hungry I feed it. Since cultural cues dictate when my large meals happen I simply answer most cravings with a small snack like a protein bar, banana, etc.

Isolate vs. Regular Whey Protein?

So I keep hearing more and more about Isolate Protein and how it is superior to a conventional Whey. What are the technical details about this? Anyone know? I know the Isolate is a crapload more expensive.

Help designing a routine
Published (2009-11-05 22:46:00)
I work out at about 6am. I get up in time to eat some oatmeal, take a glucosamine, multi-vitamin and drink a glass of milk, then fill up a water bottle and put the No-X in it and drink half of it while I put my gym shorts on and the other half driving to the gym. After I get back from the gym I drink a ON shake with milk, banana and a very small spoonfull of peanut butter. Take a shower, put on my clothes for work then grab an apple and/or...

I understand about the milk, i'm just not going to stop buying skim milk
however because I don't use milk as a source of nutrition, I use it to make
protein shakes with and eat cereal....and i'm not gonna add extra calories
and sugar just to experience the full benefits of milk

Put it this way, protein is muscle food. If your eating salads like like .. 30g a protein a day with ur chips and all that shit, ur muscles are starving.
for muscle mass increase, 1g-1.5g of protein per lb of bodyweight.
Enjoy your gains.

they are not bad, and considering a 6in vs say a burger meal somewhere, much better for you.
obviously if you made your own, that would probably be most healthiest and possibly cheaper.
IMO, its a better option than a lot of stuff out there.
next time, if they let you, do the veggie with the chicken, you get the most value of feeling full without killing diet

Help designing a routine
I need help with a cutting routine. I'm gonna be honest (and probably get some hate for it) but I've never done a cut before. I grew up on a cattle farm and have always been "farm strong" if that means anything to you guys. I've always had good power for my size but never huge muscles or been cut, ...
