Take the four screws out of the bottom of the carb that holds the float
bowl.Once this is removed you will see the head of the main jet with the
slots cut into it for a
flathead screwdriver.Remove the jet and replace
with new.

Hello uptick...I too bought an '04 1300C with H/K bigshots in September '09. The bike wouldn't idle at all with the choke in, even after it warmed up. Had to run with half choke and the gas mileage tanked south. I performed the SCAR method, added 2 washers and clipper the "tit" as described, dialed out A/F mixture 2 and a half turns and man-oh-man,

almost positive there is no internal engine upgrades for the 1300. The 1800 has some kits you can buy.
But seriously you want to do major engine work just to get a cam with more "lope"?
Just replacing a cam really does almost nothing if you don't pair it with some head work, a big intake and some free flowing exhaust. Infact the cam with more "lope" you are seeking would more than ...
