By plugging the air tube with a marble, you're gonna get condensation buildup in the rubber hoses, creating more problems...Best to just do it right the first time...

The mod I want to do, is mill the rotor face of the wheel to inset the caliper further into the wheel. It's taking up too much space sticking out in the way for my bag mods.

Theres a good pic in this link to, http://www.itrider.net/downloads/Car...CAR_Method.pdf scroll down to figure #22 for a view from the right side with the airbox removed, then # 23 is the view from the left side looking under the carb. Its up in the cavity so it's hard to spot, try using needle nose pliers with a small mirror. That reminds me I need to buy a telescoping mirror

There are two clamps that go on the joints that hold the actual mufflers on
and then the heat shield clamp acts as a joint clamp on the cross over by
where the key used to be.

I think it's on the left side of the carb...but after looking around today, I didn't immediately spot anything that looked like an A/F ...

Chino -- I'm running 2 ounces of beads in the front, and I'm on my second front tire since making the switch from traditional lead weights. I got about 2,500 extra miles on the first tire, compared to the same brand tire with lead weights. More importantly, there was almost no cupping with the beads. I'm running an entirely different front tire now so there is no fair comparison, but so far ...

the mounts and swingarm are identical so yes it will work on the R, just as
long as you remember it was built for the 1800 caliper.

I too live in the snow belt. We have about a foot on the ground as of this morning. I fired up the X yesterday and while it was raining, I still couldn't help hopping on and taking it around the block, left it idle a little when I came back and the radiator hose started leaking , couldnt get to it with a screwdriver so I'm off to the garage in a few minutes to get out the tools. It was a short, ...

I'd say go for it yourself, I used a 6-point socket (a 12-point could round
it off) and it took maybe a 1/2hr taking my time. But... make sure you put
a towel or something on the tank. An extra pair of hands or some tape
around the area on the tree isn't a bad idea either.

I saw them at biketoberfest this year. They had a 1300C with an W.O.C fairing installed. Looked pretty good & clean installment. Looks like the mounted it to be a quick disconnect.
