Can't hurt to do a tranny fluid change if you haven't done one recently. Easy too. If you make any changes, I'd be curious to know if you find any change of behavior. Again, I think it's Honda normal. Emphasis on think .

Take it in. As long as you did not cause damage that can be contributed to the pothole, the DT warranty should cover it.

This subject was previously discussed in other threads and in most detail, this last one: Obvious that Ridgeline was assembled in the U.S It's alright, we'll forget about this one and hope you never repeat this terrible mistake in the future!

Well for the last 3 months, being out of work, I have hung out at the Honda dealer helping some of my mechanic friends. I have seen a few Ridgelines come in for light bulbs or TSB fixes, but no problems that were not owner induced, but today, an 2007 RT came in and was leaking power steering fluid everywhere. The seal on the Rack and Pinion went out and they replaced the entire rack and pinion an did a wheel alignment under warranty. (the book...

yea mine isnt a grinding noise, if its a grinding noise i would guess its the flywheel or the starter still spinning, mine sounds like its low on power steering fluid or an old ford turning the wheel all the way to one side. im going to put lucas oil in mine and see what happens.

I get the wiper refills from HandA also. For 2009 & 2010 they are $7.32 each. I order several sets an air filter and a cabin filter. Shipping is very reasonable.

Yep. I noticed the same thing on my brand new truck last year. Apparently, that is Honda normal. Light throttle applied going up a slight incline and the speed begins to decrease... as speed slows through 40 mph... bang!... the tranny shifts. Most noticeable when the truck is not fully warmed up. I've learned to watch for that and either let off the gas and let it shift at that point ...

Simple answer: take it to your local or preferred dealer for the repair. If you need to get under the hood now, perhaps a pair of pliers or Vice-Grips on the broken handle will suffice... assuming the cable itself didn't break.

Seriously, in the NorthEast we had a blizzard this past week. Working for the utility I have driven in many storms but none ever as bad as this one and I honestly can say I've never felt safer. Unplowed highways with 4-6" of snow on them and the RL cruised through at 50 w/ no problem.... how the heck your friend managed to get stuck is beyond my imagination....

Hi, I have an 09 EXL-Navi (Canadian model) and I tried to duplicate your problem. I locked the vehicle with the valet key, then shortly after used the master key and was able to unlock, and the FOB as well and both were able to do it. I checked with my owners manual and didn't see anything blatant that would cause your problem. It seems like the vehicle thinks that it is trying to be ...

Maybe they just aren't up on the power curve yet, my (3) Accords were all built here and I had no quality complaints at all. I think I had even heard a while back that the quality of the cars coming out of our Ohio plant was exceeding the Japanese built models.

I'm not sure if the PS pump is shared between the RL and the Odyssey, but.. I have an 07 Odyssey that I just had the same symptoms with the PS...loud whine being the main thing. There is a TSB for the Odys for replacement of the PS reservoir only. Took it in under warranty - it seems that the plastic that the tank is made of somehow disintegrates and causes contamination. You might want to try ...
