Are you using the optional baffle system with the exhaust slip ons? Also, what is the difference between the high and low mount systems?...........

No idea what the gearing was then, it was a couple of years ago..all changed out from previous owner but the bike was set up for the back straight, which if i can remember right is about a mile long...it's like a huge drag strip with the benefit of a roll on. The bike is now geared for acceleration and i can now use 6th on the road....then again there are some very straight roads out at St Arnaud. I guess the radar could(probably...bah)...

I think mine weighed 459 with a full tank. However it had an Akrapovic full system when I got it so that could easily be 10+lbs more. Currently it is around 435 wet but it is not street legal anymore.

Just my experience (and it may be different for twins)...Slip-ons will not give you any power gains. They will give you sound, but that's it. I can't remember the magazine, but they tested all the new 600s with different slip-ons. All but one showed zero hp gain. The single one actually lost a tenth or two. Full systems are the way to go. Like I said, just been my experience.

SP2 Battery continuously running...

Also, how old is the battery? Some batteries can develop a bad cell which will reduce the battery down to 11-12V with corresponding less start current. Had that happen on my Suzuki. They can also develop an internal short and the battery can self discharge. Sometimes overnight. Had that happen on two vehicles I owned.

Well, if they have tested everything, surely they would have found the fault. Sounds of course like a charging-error. Have you tested for loose connections? Doesnt help if it charges enough, but it doesnt reach the battery. How much power its pulling while running/riding? How much power its charging while running/riding?

The only type I've seen are like the Harley guys use. Usually sits vertical on the left side of the swing arm (some are curved) Depending on you pipe set up it may have some clearance issues.

While not near as cheap (cost or quality) as some aftermarket bodywork, the bodywork at this site reportedly is made and painted in Japan, and uses quality ABS vs cheap quality ABS or fiberglass. I've never bought from them, so I can't vouch for the quality. Maybe others have and can verify the fitment and quality. http://www.nicecycle.com/2000-to-2003-Fairings-s/1 00.htm

if you want to reset the ecm...take notes my friend... find the lil green connector near the ecm (not connected to anything, 2 wire green connector(service check Connector)), grab you a lil piece of wire, and short that connector (put one end of the wire in one hole of the connector, and same for other end of wire), turn the ignition switch on, once you do this take one end (wire) out of the ...
