That sound's like a good idea, Once I get home, I'll try your tips to see if I can pinpoint the exact location of the buzzing.

Guys. Thanks for your help on this. Took bike out for a decent ride. The oil looks better than before. I use my bike nearley every day but only work up the road so does not get a decent run. I ride in all weathers unless there is ice on the road then take the car. Love riding and would be lost without my bike. I would love to live somewhere hot but the downside of that is I would never make it to work just be out riding all the time

I take it you had a loose brake line, i take you have tightened it now. Bleeding brakes is simple, best way is to get a one way bleed pipe, if not put some break fluid in a jar, open master cylinder and top up, put spanner over bleed nipple on furthest caliper first then place tube over nipple , pump brake and open bleed nipple pump till you get a steady flow, then do the same to the rest one by one ...keep an eye on fluid level dont let it...

I have not thought of that. I come from a climate where there is no humidity in the air (Utah), so this has never been a problem for me. I hope it is all that is wrong with it.

Suggestions anyone??
Published (2009-12-07 00:15:00)
The previous owner of my bike used to do wheelies. I believe he would pop the bike up when shifting from 1st to 2nd. I believe one of the shift forks maybe bent because sometimes it doesn't drop into 2nd gear just right or it may slip out. I can re-clutch the bike and hit the gear again and it will usually drop into place. It can be dangerous while making turns though if I'm shifting from 1st to 2nd. I'm going to have the forks...

Personally I wouldn't be swayed by the injected / non-injected models and would simply go for the best bike I can find for my money - be it an F4 of F4i. I would imagine they are pretty similar in performance terms.

It's probably the cctl (cam chain tensioner lifter) if it sounds like marbles being shaken around in a jar.

For water to get into the oil, the culprit is almost always the head gasket. I am surprised that they didn't see any water in there when they changed the oil. Don't ride the bike anymore. You can damage it to the point of a needing a new motor. I don't think they would have taken the head off of the motor for any reason, and this is just a coincidence that the gasket is leaking now. I ...

starting problem I just replaced the Clutch on my 99' cbr F4 and since then it doesn't want to run. At first I thought it was the spark plug so I got them all replaced because they were black but that didn't help. Then I thought maybe the fuel pump needed replacing but the spark plugs are wet when I pull them out. Each time I flip the starter switch it sounds like it wants to start as ...
