i believe the weathertech ones sit on the window and not the body of the car so they arent wide like that but actually move out with the window poped out

So I only did the fronts, and I rarely open the pop out windows. I was thinking of putting those on my Kicker E. But looking at the price I think they are a bit on the high side, considering you can get billet for the top and the bottom for the same price as one of those. (Maybe I will make a grill insert.) They do look nice though.

Side Steps Clearance loss?
Published (2009-12-07 18:43:00)
Howdy, On board. The side steps won't be the lowest point. The fuel tank guard, muffler, and rear diff all compete for that honor, but the winner is probably the lower control arms close to the front wheels. There could be a circumstance where a side step hits an obstacle first (I dinged one of mine against a rock), but you shouldn't let that stop you from getting them.

The billet grilles have been too played out! There dealers online discount the prices. But it may be a few weeks before there dealers post them because its a new release.

Not sure if all clear bras do this but.
I have seen a few clear bras when looking for them. Some were nice others not so nice. But a lot of them had a yellowish tint to them, so i figured out that after a few years (some? all? i dont know) start turning yellow.
Just a friendly heads up!

Hey Mikement, happy 50 posts. :)
If you really want to use them in fog, the OEM wiring is no hindrance to performance. And the bulbs are standard (55W) for the type.
Five years and 100K of happy use. Haven't had to replace a lens yet ::knock wood:: but I can tell you that bulb replacement is easy.

Shouldn't have any issues. I put my OEM wheels from my 09 SC onto my wife's 07 CR-V and she has plenty of clearance. I have to think the wheel wells are larger on the element.

I use the AVS vent visor. Like the weathertech, they also mount inside the window trim and not on the paint. You can get them in 2pc or 4pc to include the rear pop-out windows.

Don't feel bad about backing up and hitting something, one time I backed a 27 foot camper RV I owned clear out of my driveway to another portion on driveway where company cars park and I smashed right into my own car. Felt like a complete imbecile.
$hit happens. I feel bad for ya though.
good luck in replacing items.....
