The problem was my o2 sensor. Went from 17mpg to 30mpg after putting in a new sensor. Gas smell went away also.

typically a clogged cat will make your car really bog under heavy acceleration you could use a temp gun drive the car around to get it up to operating temp then take a reading before and after the cat a working cat will be the hottest part of the exhaust, therefor the temp coming out of the cat should be hotter than what is going in I know it sounds weird but a cat ...

Get a larger exhaust. I believe those motors used a stock 2.5 inch exhaust, could be wrong as I'm not sure what motor you have this car in. Your exhaust is restrictive which cause the peak numbers to show up lower and less than they should. It'll also even out your top end as well. Aftermarket intakes/exhaust/headers/etc will aways effect your peak point as well, having it peak earlier isn't a ...

Theres no point in putting on a B1 head if your not going to hook up the VTEC system. Also you would need either a B1 ecu or a chipped ecu to turn the vtec on. I know they make VTEC controllers but I don't like the idea of them myself. You'd be better off to just keep the b2 head on if you aren't hooking up the VTEC in the B1 head. The non VTEC cam profile in the B1 head barely opens ...

I have a b18a in my 95 civic. It's got b16 pistons, Intake, Header, high flow cat, and 60mm catback. It's about 11:1 compression. It runs pretty decent for what it is, but is probably only putting down 140whp if I had to guess. I've got it mated to a GSR tranny with an ls 5th gear. So it does alright but nowhere near 300hp. I would say that only way you'd ever get close to 300hp is with a ...

well, before I can help, what kind of history does this motor have? lots of care? beaten? run dry of oil a few times? if its been run low on oil, new bearings will fix the problem if its been taken care of and still making knocking, now is teh tiem to pull it off the road and get parts with teh plan to rebuild. keep in mind your goal, are you sticking to stock power? aiming for ...
