if you have a CEL, it may be critical. I would check it before yuo do anything, who knows if it will end up being an expensive fix, you know? any autoparts store should be able to scan your code for free with their OBD2 scnners. if not, look up how to check online. I know on civics, tehy have a 2 pin wire connector near the ecu that doesnt do anything except chill in a green or gray rubebr thing. taking a paperclip or wire to shrot them, and...

timing belt/water pump question
Published (2009-12-26 07:05:00)
Hmm.. what I'm nervous about is, what if you loosen that nut and the timing belt came loose then that would become a big problem if you start your engine. So I say take off all the timing belt covers and use one of the bolt cover and tighten down the timing belt arm so the belt won't come loose when you loosen that adjusting nut. After you got that timing tensioner bolt down tight, loosen the adjusting nut, and retighten it. That...

Hard Shifts

Bleeding the clutch is just like bleeding the brakes. Pump for pressure, hold pedal to floor , then crack the bleed screw open to purge the system, rinse repeat until only clear fluid runs out. Make sure your fluid resivior doesn't run dry as well.

Yeah I kinda figured the tranny fluid would need to be changed. The previous owner was a 36 year old woman and I doubt she ever had the fluid and filter changed. Is there a how to anywhere on bleeding the clutch reservoir? I never force shifts. Shifting just seems to take a little extra effort like its gummed up or something.

Well i just went and checked the codes. Seems like i have 3 Cylinder Misfires (Valve Cover Leaked into the 3) but as of right now i have my spark plugs, and the gasket, the gasket only came with the gasket itself. 1 pc. and Crankshaft Position Sensor, and i dont know where the hell that came from.

Thats your balancer belt being too tight. It did on my F22B1 that I had, and my current H22 that I just swapped into my Accord after installing new t-belt. After running the H22 with that whine for a couple months, I figured why not loosen the adjusting nut on the timing cover, so the balancer belt won't be too tight. I loosened it a full turn and retighten it. I started the car and what do you ...

Double check everything when you're out there again. If it was working before, its gotta be something you did. I'd double check the filament inside the bulb to see if they're ok.

oil leaks bad enough to cover 3 plugs certainly can hurt your starting so much oil covering it means its not burning well at all the valvecover kit should come with the big thin gasket going around the entire cover edge, and 4 donuts, one for each sparkplug hole to prepare the car, make sure its been off for a long time. 2-3 hours at elast next remove the valvecover and clean...

follow the manual - take it to me... :P most likely the brake light switch is bad. depress teh brakes. do you have brake lights? if not, the brake light switch is bad. replacing it is easy but if you do it wrong the brake pedal will be slightly depressed all the time(which is bad). another possibility is you spilled coffee or soda at one point in time on the center console. this ...

it would most likely fit the motor but it might not fit the chassis. differnt motors are positioned differently unde rthe hood and the exhaust length may change I would try to find a header made for your motor specific by naem and chassis if possible
