That is beyond , 127becca! Absolutely wrong, on a scale from one to wrong . BTW, we won;t use debit cards. I prefer to use my rewards credit card and then just cut a monthly check.

Absolutely not. The leaning would be toward the military and defense department. We just had a dominating Sec'y. of Defense. I don't need a Commander-in-Chief with a military background. Check history. Generals have made rather poor Presidents as a rule: Grant heads my list, Jackson was difficult, Eisenhower not outstanding and very much involved with the military-industrial complex. This would rule out the perfect candidate due to...

KeCats doesn't understand that voters who normally vote for a Democrat, do not blindly vote for someone because he/she IS a Democrat. Voters have standards or criteria which a candidate has to measure up to, and race has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Even Arlen Specter and Joe Lieberman and Michele Bachmann have to come home and face their constituency. Sarah Palin doesn't need to do that anymore, and that's one of the things that makes her a great danger in the next few years.
A huge truth there.

Companies of every kind do this routinely. It's called "grassroots."
I've been asked many times to write to Congress on a company issue.
In this case, people who work for United Health Care might lose their jobs if the health care bill has a cheap public option.

That is a good article. Thanks! I like to see people like this.
Completely off topic, but several years ago, Himself and I were road-tripping through SD and stopped for the night in Murdo. We had, without a doubt, the best meal in years in a little old restaurant there. We still talk about that, and hope to drive up there again someday. Beautiful, beautiful country.

I don't have much time to answer an essay's worth of questions, but I will say that we haven't tried lowering health care costs yet by putting some other options out there on the table:
1. WalMart could offer cheaper medical practices where doctors practice out of the stores, ad many eye doctors currently do
2. SuperTarget could offer health insurance
3. Geico and Farmer's could branch out ...

What about those of us that are contending with a stretched budget, owe more on our house than we can sell it for, in danger of losing our jobs and homes?
What about those businesses that are barely hanging on, and cannot afford for their payroll to increase without them having to close their doors or reduce their workforce?

Alan Lee Keyes (born August 7, 1950) is an American conservative political activist, author and former diplomat, and perennial candidate for public office. He ran for President of the United States in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2008, and was a Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in 1988, 1992, and 2004 . Keyes served in the U.S. Foreign Service, was appointed Ambassador to the Economic and ...

Is the House bill better than nothing? I don't think so. It simply throws more money into a dysfunctional and unsustainable system, with only a few improvements at the edges, and it augments the central role of the investor-owned insurance industry. The danger is that as costs continue to rise and coverage becomes less comprehensive, people will conclude that ...

YES.
But I don't base that on election outcomes. People can vote for whomever/whatever they choose. Voting for someone/something I disagree with doesn't make someone stupid. Being stupid does.
