Alps printers work well, but the MD5000 has been discontinued a few years ago. Here is some information on the Alps MD5500,from the Alps Yahoo decal group. I have just heard from Alps Electric regarding the end of production of the MD-5500. The last date that these will be on sale is 31st May 2010. Additionally, we have the following information: 1. All printers sold between now and the end of sale date will stall carry a 12 month warranty 2....

Good advice, David. I get Rob to make decals for me when I want something that nobody ever had. Like all the proper "Marlboro" signs on that McLaren a year ago. We figured out the scale for the six sizes, and the cars look great, not stupid the way they were made by the manufacturer, caving in to the hoards of ignorant twits who want to censor everything on the planet to suit them.

Rickard5 and I run 1/43 slot cars. To find decals for this scale is almost impossible. I was having a guy from ebay print decals for me. They looked great, but peel up very easily after awhile, and if you don't paint white behind the decal on the body, they looked not so good. I have had 9carfan print a couple sets for me in 1/43 and they look great on any color body (thanks again man)! So I guess the question is, who will print us some...

They no longer support them. These printers are prone to breakdowns in my opinion. The ribbons are getting scarce. Hope this helps you make your decision. Jim Jim, Don't you use a laser printer? My decals are printed on a Kodak Check Proof printer, it prints...

Building for my light bridge
Published (2009-12-28 18:24:40)
I recently installed Trackmate, and modified my light bridge. I want to add some buildings, here's the 1st. The jersey walls are just sitting in place, I still need to sand and paint them.

The bridge looks fantastic! I've been meaning to build a pedestrian bridge myself. Are those Plastruct premade steps in 1/32 scale?

I have been told from my model car buddies to go with the Tango Paper. I have not used it yet and will give my opinion on here once I do. This is what a majority of the ALPS model car guys have been using and judging from pics it is fantastic looking. Here is the link: http://www.tangopapadecals.com/
