Here is my homemade cookie story. My oldest son , Matthew was in 1st grade, and I noticed he came home from school with a couple of dollars in his pocket. I asked him "Matthew where did you get this money?" "Oh some kids at school gave it to me" Really why? Well, I was getting ready to eating my cookies and one boy said he would pay me .50 for a cookie...

Missty, I think you will make a good impression on the GF by just serving that cake. It sounds delicious. Please post the recipe when your son leaves. Enjoy eating out. I finally got my Thanksgiving assignment and as I predicted I got the more complicated sides...mashed brown sugar squash and green bean casserole (not really cooking as much as assembling in this case)..and to take to Rob's MIL's house in the evening a cherry pie and the Pioneer Woman's Apple Dumplings (made with Mountain Dew!). My dad's having a pacemaker and defib implanted tomorrow, and we'll go from there. Thanks again for all your prayers. He's got a ways to go yet. Sounds like he's making some real progress, Debbie, and that's good to hear. Abbie well behaved women seldom make history

This looks very similar to a Rachael Ray recipe, and is quite tasty. I've only made it once, but would go VERY light on the cinnamon and nutmeg -or even leave them out entirely. While they aren't sweet on their own, they made me think of pumpkin pie, which was just squinky with the sausage. Cinnamon, I did a search and I do believe it is a RR recipe that Kim posted, with a few minor ...

Abbie - A full weekend from start to finish - fun, productive and full! Ours was also - did grill out the steaks last night - the basic Montreal steak seasoning marinade, yukon golds nuked, then pan fried w/a Vidalia onion, and cole slaw w/craisins & poppy seeds. Eaten on the deck in 68 degree weather - oh my! Tonight is Kel's soccer banquet - she & Ash will eat there (spaghetti - no thanks...

My day is going to be very low key. It's been a very stressful week. Loaded with headaches and heart palpitations. Not healthy living for sure. So I'm going to do what works for me today. Cleaning up, fixing up, reading and relaxing. I'd like to do some baking but we'll see about that. :) I just need to get back to a good place. I say relax and enjoy your weekend, Joan. Curl up...

Linda-believe it or not, this was and might still be, one of the "affordable" family restaurants in my county. Very expensive area to live in. Local pizzeria costs me $65 for 3 large pies (not just cheese, with toppings) so I taught myself to make homemade pizza this past year. Sandwich shops locally are at least $10/head. Life in Fairfield county, CT .. .. I can understand the expense, ...
