They are on to masking horrible beer with fruit. If you want ore citrus add more falvor/aroma hops. But at the same time you drink beer because it takes good. Whatever makes it taste good to you, do.

homebrew give away or sell?

If they are buying supplies, you are not selling beer. And anyone who drinks excessive amounts of your homebrew had best be pitching in for supplies. Some guys seem to think that homebrewing is cost-free.

Mini-Brew 6.5 conical for Christmas
Published (2009-12-02 06:18:00)
I do realize that, thanks. I'm giving my personal experience of using a Mini-Brew 6.5 conical, which is what the OP asked. In my experience, dropping the trub 2 days after beginning of fermentation drains a fair amount of break and hop material, and I haven't perceived any negative effect on fermentation. Waiting until fermentation is done, as you recommended, just leads to a thick sludge that slowly oozes its way out of the bottom...

Birmingham, AL - Page 2

Well, due to my friend's (closest thing I have to a SWMBO) family being comprised of a few Auburn Alumni, I already have my team. Watched the iron bowl with them down in Eufaula. Stopped by Alabrew yesterday and the woman there seemed really nice. She invited me to sit in on the meeting tonight, which I just might do. Is anyone else from here going?

gallons?

Look for Koff porter, as well as Sahti. For a completely different beverage experience, pick up a bottle of Salmiakki. Lastly, eat at Zetor at least once while you're in Helsinki (unless you happen to be a thin-skinned Swede ).

Yes, I think that's correct. Utah just legalized it this summer, after lobbying by the citizens and the AHA.

The quote in your signature is a misattribution that should not be propagated. What Benjamin Franklin actually wrote was:
"Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards; there it enters the roots of the vines, to be changed into wine; a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy."

Probably my favorite brewery. I've got a bottle of Wild Devil that I have not tried yet. But Golden Monkey was one of the beers that really got me into beer.

Dont feel bad that you dont like something. Everyone has different tastes.
You should try St Bernardus Abt 12, then see what you think of Belgian beers.

My god. Is that an oil barrel?
Well, if you don't want to dump it, I would suggest racking as best you can under the pellicle and trying to avoid getting as much of that stuff into the botteling bucket. I would bottle right away and drink it young. It probably wont taste the greatest, but its better than dumping, right?
Though I have had limited success adding campden tablets to an ...

Maybe I was too drunk, but last night I squeezed a couple pieces of fresh clementine into my IPA, and it tasted pretty damn good. As we know, a lot of IPAs have a citrusy hop profile, why not add a bit of real citrus and let it marinate?
I hate to be mistaken with blue moon or corona, but maybe they are onto something...
