I only saw 1 original on ebay and the rest were the 1983 release kits. they even sell them with the major parts missing but want a fortune for something you can't even build. this one i got has everything except 14 small parts and every part smashed off the parts trees. even the parts trees are snapped into 3 pieces i wish this kit would get reproduced in the same 1/48 scale.

You know Moebius has a few Glow Frankensteins available... check out the Moebius store/web site. For about $40 you get two complete figures... one glow and one regular, plus a couple other glow doo dads.

When I talked to the folks at the Monarch booth at Wonderfest they did say around Thanksgiving or Christmas was when the ghost and Sinbad would arrive. Having said that, I have almost given up any hope of ever seeing these wonderful kits on a store shelf, let alone adorning my model shelf. It's been two full years waiting on the Ghost. I'm sure Scott had good intentions, but it's ...

What color do you want? Testors has many stock auto colors in both thier Model Master enamel line and also their new Custom Lacquer series. For example, I used AMC silver recently... The lacquers come in spray cans but go on VERY nicely, like the excellent Tamiya sprays. You an decant and airbrush them if you wanted. You can airbrush automotive paints. They are usually pretty "hot" and ...

A while ago one of the Hobby Talk members sent me a large ammount of old 18"er's. Recently, I looked through my big collection of Star Trek 18"er's and discovered that this person had begun some work on building one of these kits to match the FJ Blueprints. However, there were only a few holes drilled in the primary hull for the additional phasers and some blobs of brown putty on the 4 ...

rflea, As a general thing, it's safe to apply oil-based paints over acrylics but not vice versa. If you're not sure how the different paints you're using will react with one another, you'd be smart to test them on a scrap model before committing your current masterpiece.

Yeah I got mine last week. He's pricey but very well done. I paid $18.50 for mine at Hallmark. He may not be a big seller since they had a TON compared to say the Star Trek (sold out) and Lionel Train (selling out). He goes for a good bit on eBay. I notice Kohls, where I buy some of the Hallmark ornaments, does not stock Robby... Too bad because after Xmas they are like 80% off...
