I've burned the iso image to a cd-rw but when inserted in the player I get the message "Disc not in DVD format". I've repeated these steps several times with same results. Anyone have any ideas?

This quote makes me hope the firmware update addresses the 1080/24p jaggies problem. Quote: This firmware update improves support for 1080p/24Hz OUTPUT and auto mode(for HD-A30 and HD-A35), improves network connectivity for supporting the download of web-enabled network content associated with certain HD DVD discs, and also addresses certain disc playback and ...

Hey everyone After all the advice i received on this wonderful forum i have now finally ordered my new tv. The Samsung LE37A656 1080p.. and well looking forward to it arriving. Everyone here knows I was a big fan of HD DVD so it pains me to start this thread, but I felt I should warn people who have large libraries of HD DVD movies, about what has happened to ME with my HD DVD players. First the warning and advice: I would buy as many backup HD DVD players as you can, to match how long you want to be able to watch that library of HD DVD discs. With the failure ...

Updating Your Toshiba HD DVD Player Firmware. Why update it? Think of it as a driver update for computer hardware, or a new updated version of your favorite software program for Windows. It makes things work better and may even have new features added. With HD DVD players the latest updates often include playback fixes, improved functionality and new features for some of the ...

www.inetvideo.com has a lot of new HD DVDs for anywhere from $4.99 used, $5.99 to $9.99 new. They even have the complete Tom Clancy Jack Ryan collection (special collection edition) for $149.99 Just thought I would let the HD DVD owners know they could really stock up for very little money.

I was wondering then if it makes for a great deal to start stocking up on those backlogs of HD DVD movies. I also worry about support too and probably that Toshiba...
