Which RAM/HDD/Network for HTPC?

I think that I might like to do a similar thing. What speed/make are you using for the drives? I was thinking of using a 1TB F3 Spinpoint 7,200 rpm with 50GB partitioned for the OS and a 1.5TB 5,400 Caviar Green for recording and storing meda, thus leaving roughly 950 GB overspill on the first drive, should I need it.

More video board questions...

You really want a motherboard that has a PCI Express x16 video card slot as it has much more bandwidth needed for Blu-ray. AGP just doesn't cut it in most cases.

For example, my HTPC has a Nvidia GeForce 210 that I paid $50 for and i couldn't be happier. It has the ability to output HDMI to my 55 inch Sony, has a DVI for my HDCP monitor, and has a VGA...

Dell Zino Questions

Thanks for the reply Blckman. I wound up going with this one - http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthr...readid=1707277 I figure it's a pretty good deal especially with the bing cash back. The Zino is very popular as a HTPC in a another forum that I saw so I'm pretty sure it will work out well. Now, I'm looking into the best speakers to hook up to it.

Finally had luck with google. After trying to install the WinTV software and not getting anywhere, I found that you can add channel and edit channels in WMC and added 122.12.
Tomorrow I'll try rescanning the TV to see if I can get those 'weak' channels that the computer picks up that the TV's not picking up.
